You are in a wardens room. READ SIGN to see what’s requested from you. You need to travel to Sirius 5 to retrieve the Key of Time. And all within 250 moves.
At the moment you’re wearing a bracelet with a button that doesn’t do much…. yet. GO SOUTH into the grand room where there’s a teleporter. Before you enter it, MOVE TELEPORTER to reveal a passageway behind it. GO PASSAGEWAY and GO EAST to enter the stores. Here you’ll find a shovel and an ID card. TAKE SHOVEL and TAKE CARD.
GO WEST to return to the passageway and GO NORTH back into the grand room. GO TELEPORTER and if your READ PANEL, you’ll find out that you need to INSERT CARD to operate the teleporter. You feel odd and when you GO EXIT, you’ll find yourself on Sirius 5.
From here GO SOUTH to find a yellow road with bricks. When you EXAMINE BRICKS, you’ll find a loose one, and it’s gold! TAKE GOLD and GO SOUTH. You’re now at a dead end. And an unfinished wall is blocking the passage. Maybe you can help by BUILD WALL. But the gold brick you used is too heavy making the wall tumble and reveal a hole.
GO HOLE and you’re in a swamp. Oh dear. Since you have a shovel, you might as well DIG and find a weird yellow powder. TAKE YELLOW and GO SOUTH further into the swamp. GO EAST even further and DIG again, this time to find a blue powder. TAKE BLUE, then GO NORTH and GO WEST. Although it seems like you’re lost in a swamp, it you GO NORTH, you’re back at the hole at the dead end.
[Note: if you get lost in the swamp it’s fairly easy to get out: go north twice. If you’re not out then, go west once and north twice again. This should get you back at the dead end.]
GO NORTH to the yellow road and from here GO EAST into a field. You can see a lake and mountains. GO MOUNTAINS first. Standing on a cliff you can see a cave. GO CAVE. Here a large boulder will block your path. When you EXAMINE BOULDER you’ll see something behind it bit no way you can reach it. There’s also a flask here. TAKE FLASK and to prevent accidents later, DROP YELLOW powder and DROP BLUE powder.
GO WEST to return to the cliff and GO NORTH back to the field. Now GO LAKE to go for a swim. In the water, FILL FLASK with water. To see what else is here, HOLD BREATH and SWIM DOWN to the bottom of the lake. There’s a silver key and wire cutters here so TAKE SILVER and TAKE CUTTERS, then SWIM UP again. SWIM back to the field and GO MOUNTAINS.
Back on the cliff, GO CAVE and here you’re back at the boulder. EMPTY FLASK on the powders deposited earlier to create a massive explosion, revealing what was behind the boulder. GO CREVICE to reach a small corridor with a box.
Now that you have the cutters, you can OPEN BOX and find crystals inside. TAKE CRYSTALS. From here GO SOUTH to a cavern that has a door in it but it’s locked. UNLOCK DOOR (you have the silver key) and it swings open. GO DOOR and you’re in a hexagonal room. READ NOTE. We need to keep that in mind!
GO EAST into a store room. All there’s here is a lever so TAKE LEVER and GO WEST to return to the hexagonal room. From here GO BEAM (it’s a not heavy wooden pole, not a ray of light) to reach a cold room with a hatch. Since you’ve got the lever, you can OPEN HATCH and GO HATCH. This will lead you to a power room with a generator. But the generator isn’t running.
INSERT CRYSTALS to hear some noise in the distance. GO WEST back into the cold room and GO NORTH back into the hexagonal room. GO EAST back to the store room, this time you can see an opening. GO OPENING and find yourself blocked by a wired fence in a corridor. CUT FENCE to create a gap in the wiring and GO GAP. You’re now in a strong room with a safe. So far we’ve only seen one message that might be helpful here. What did it say? 0519 backwards. Now the safe operates a but awkward.
Start with DIAL, then when asked what, enter 19. But nothing happens. DIAL again, this time when asked, enter 05. Now the safe opens. Inside is the key of time. TAKE KEY. Now that we have the key, we need to return to the stabiliser. We could walk all the way back but… remember your bracelet with the button? PUSH BUTTON (it works now that you have the key) and you’ll be back at the stabiliser.
Back at the base you need to do something else but what? The lack of description and the misdirection of the hole lead me to brute force verbing. In the end REPAIR KEY did the trick. I didn’t know it was broken? I only had to get it back… Oh well… mission complete.
