Part I: The demise of the zombie pirate LeChuck
In the hold of the ship, talk to the small pirate. Keep questioning him about being a pirate:
“Aren’t you a little short for a pirate” and “Is that a real eye-patch?”. Then ask him all about the seminar, the lecture and the audiobooks. Finally challenge him tell him he’s not a real pirate. Eventually Wally will start sobbing and drop his hook.
Pick up the PLASTIC HOOK and take the RAMROD from the wall. Use the cannon and sink all four boats on the water and once they’re gone, in your inventory use the plastic hook with the ramrod to create a GAFF. Look out the porthole and use the gaff to fish for the yellow debris which appears to be a SKELETON ARM and a CUTLASS.
Go back inside and use the cutlass with the rope that retrains the cannon. Use the cannon again to fire another cannonball. Oops.
Once you’re back, have a look around. To get out of here, you need to reach that hole in the ceiling (floor?) Take the BAG from the floor to find a big diamond ring underneath. Take the RING and use the diamond to cut the glass of the porthole so you can float to the surface.
Part II: The curse gets worse
Pick up a GLOWING EMBER from next to the remains of the dinghy. Follow the cobblestone path on the lower right until you see the map of the island. Walk to the swamp with the shipwreck to your left and when you get there, try to cross the bridge.
Murray will demand you to leave again. You can talk to him or not, either way, after the conversation, cross the bridge and enter the ship. Inside the cabin it’s a bit of a mess. Pick up the bottle of PASTE from the floor and the PIN from the voodoo doll.
On the left is a gumball machine. Use the bag of nickels from your inventory on the machine to get a whole pack of GUM from it. Examine the stuffed alligator and notice the large tongue. Use the tongue to summon the voodoo priestess and talk to her. Talk to her about everything and end up talking about Elaine and her curse. To lift the curse you need to replace the ring with something of equal value.
Talk more to learn how to get to Blood Island and what you need for that. End the conversation and leave the ship on the left, then walk across the bridge to the left to see the map. Select the village above the fort. Talk to the small pirate at the lemonade stand to tell him you’d like to buy a lemonade. But that will only loose you a nickel.
Follow the path to the right and cross the bridge, then enter the alleyway left of the clock tower building. Examine the coat on the coat stand to notice the dandruff, then examine the dandruff to realize it’s not dandruff. Pick up the LICE. Open the pocket of the coat to find a glove inside, then take the GLOVE from the coat.
Examine the magic hat on the desk. It’s empty, or is it? Take the MAGIC WAND lying next to it and use the magic wand on the hat to let a book appear. Take the BOOK from the hat. Examine the book in your inventory to learn it’s about ventriloquism. Leave the theatre and walk down the stairs to the docks and enter the Barbery Coast.
Watch the activities. When the barber pirate puts down his comb, use the lice from your inventory on the comb and that will free up the chair. Talk to the barber and ask for a haircut to get into the chair. Once seated, use the handle to the side of the chair to raise it one level. You can now reach the PAPERWEIGHT on the book so it’ll make the barber leave and search for another one.
Use the handle on the chair three more times to reach the top level and you now can take the SCISSORS from the ceiling. As soon as you do, the barber returns. Walk over to the salty pirate and talk to him. Learn about the jawbreaker and then end the conversation. Push him after the conversation as friendly gesture and he’ll choke on the jawbreaker so push him again to dislodge the object. Pick up the JAWBREAKER from the floor. Leave the barber shop.
Walk up the stairs and to the left across the bridge to the left, past the house and towards Kenny’s lemonade stall. Just before you reach him, you’ll find signs pointing towards a nature trail. But it’s overgrown with mysterious flowers. Use your scissors on the flowers to cut one of the IPECAC FLOWER from it, then use the scissors on the undergrowth to be able to follow the nature trail.
Walk towards the rubbish and you’ll get eaten by a snake. Inside the snake you’ll find a FABERGE EGG which you need to pick up, together with VACUUM CLEANER ATTACHEMENTS and LOTS OF STUFF. In your inventory use the pancake syrup with the ipecac flower to create SYRUP OF IPECAC.
Use the syrup with the snake head and you’ll be free …. from the snake. But now your stuck in another way. Read the plaque on the plant next to you to find the species and then use the thorny bush to get a THORN from it. On your other side are reeds. Take a HOLLOW REED from it. In your inventory use the paperweight with the helium balloon to let it float above the ground.
Also in your inventory, use the thorn with the hollow reed to create a PEA SHOOTER. Now blow against the balloon to let it float to the left and once it hangs stable, use the pea shooter on it to drop the paperweight, dislodge the rope and get you out of your sticky situation.
Leave the cove you end up in on the right and on the map enter Puerto Pollo in the center (arrow pointing down). You’ll enter from the nature trail and enter the restaurant on the right. The owner will ask for a reservation and luckily you found one inside the snake. Once you’ve shown it to him, take a TASTY, BUTTERY BICUIT from the barrel on the right and eat it. You’ll discover the MAGGOTS inside.
Use the maggots with the gross chicken on the table and it’ll be cleared in no-time, revealing a card inside. Take the CLUB CARD from the carcass. Give the quiet patron a gentle push to discover why he’s so quiet. Take the SERRATED BREAD KNIFE from his back.
Talk to Captain Blondebeard and learn about the menu and his gold tooth. Give him the jawbreaker and his gold tooth will come loose. Give him the pack of gum and he’ll start blowing bubbles. As you can see, the tooth is inside the bubble. Take the pin from your inventory and pop the bubble. Pick up the GOLD TOOTH from the floor.
Now Blondebeard won’t let you leave with that gold tooth so in your inventory chew on the pack of gum and once you have CHEWED GUM, combine it with the gold tooth. Inhale the helium from the balloon in your inventory and chew the tooth in gum to create a helium balloon with gold tooth inside. It’ll float out the window.
Pick up the PIE PAN and the BISCUIT CUTTER from the serving hatch on the left and leave the restaurant. Left of the front door is a mudpuddle. Use the pie pan with the mudpuddle to ‘pan for gold’ and find the GOLD TOOTH again.
Walk to the right and go through the arched opening to the right of the theatre. You’ll reach a playing field. On the field walk north to the grassy knoll and have a closer look at the keg on the sawhorse. Use your serrated bread knife on the sawhorse and the keg of rum will roll away, leaving a trail. Use the ember on stick from your inventory on the trail of rum to create an explosion.
Walk down the stairs and enter the Barbery Coast. Talk to Cutthroat Bill again and ask if he wants to join your crew. He wants you to show some proof that you can find treasure. End the conversation and show him the gold tooth. He’ll join if the others will as well. Talk to McMutton. He’ll join only if you win a challenge. No matter what you suggest, he’ll go for the caber toss.
Accept the challenge: that’s your second member. Talk to the dapper one. He’ll join your crew if you can win at a duel. But you need to insult him first. Leave the conversation and use the glove from your inventory to slap him. That’ll trigger the duel!
On the duel field, close the lid of the middle box so you can reach for the banjo. Now you can have a banjo-duel. Now pay attention to what Edward is playing. He’ll sometimes play a single note and that’s the one you need to remember. Easiest is when you number the strings from top to bottom and when it’s your turn, repeat the single note sequence (a bit like Simon Says). You have to do this three times, each time making the sequence longer so more difficult. But the notes are random so no straight solution given here.
Once you’ve played the correct sequences, Edward will start showing off and you’ll drop your banjo. Use the gun pile and pick up a GUN. When Edward has the banjo in front of him (not behind his head), shoot the banjo. That’ll show him respect. You’re third crew member sorted.
Leave the barbershop and go up the stairs, then walk under the arch again to the playing field. Walk to the right to where you blew up the first tree and next to it is another rubber tree. Use the biscuit cutter with ‘another rubber tree’ to cut a RUBBER PLUG from it.
Walk left back to the square and then walk to the piers on the right to see the map. On the map select Danjer Cove on the upper left. Walk to the left to see the boat with a gaping hole in it. In your inventory us the paste with the rubber plug and use the sticky rubber plug with the gaping hole in the boat. Use the boat to row to the pirate ship. To get on board, use the serrated bread knife to cut the plank over your head and climb aboard. But you’re not very welcome.
Back on shore, walk to the right and on the map enter Puerto Pollo from the left. Walk past the lemonade stand and enter the restaurant. Use the ventriloquism book from your inventory on Captain LeChimp to fool his first man. Once he’s left, you’ll get the MAP to where the treasure must be buried.
Open the porthole in the back and leave the ship to get back to the island. Walk to the right to see the map and this time enter Puerto Pollo from the center. Walk to the right, across the bridge and enter the theatre through the alleyway. Go up the stairs (above the mirror) to reach the light rigging above the stage. There’s a box with buttons and a lever. The sequence in which you have to press them is on the treasure map you found at Captain LeChimp.
Number the buttons from 1 to 8 from left to right, top to bottom and press: 8, 1, 4, 7, 5, 3, 3, 5 and 6. Pull the handle and X marks the spot. When done right, you’ll end up in the wings seeing the actor at first juggle some knives, then cannonballs. Back in the dressing room, use the chicken grease from your inventory on the cannonballs in the chest on the left.
With the stage now empty, take the shovel and start digging for Elaine. You’ll end up back on the ship. Leave the ship via the plank and use the boat to row back to the beach. Walk all the way to the right to see the map and go to the beach on the far right of the island: Cabana.
Talk to the man behind the bar and learn that you can’t do anything without a membership card so show him the club card from your inventory. Now you can pick up a TOWEL from the basket and use the towel on the bucket of ice to soak the towel. Now use the wet towel with the cabana boy to move him away from his bar.
Pick up the COOKING OIL from the bar, then take another TOWEL from the basket, and even a third TOWEL. Use both dry towels in the ice bucket as well to get three wet towels. Walk north to the beach and to get across the very hot sand, use the wet towels on the sand three times to reach the other end.
The sunbather here is asleep so you can take the MUG without issues. Open the gate to return to the map. Enter Puerto Pollo from the left and go to the lemonade stand. Use the mug you just picked up with the bottomless one on the stand and then ask Kenny for a drink.
Since you now cheated on him, he’ll leave his stand. Take the PITCHER from the stand and fill it with RED DYE from the vat on the right. Walk to the left to return to the map and then go to Brimstone Beach on the far right.
Put the bottomless mug back where you found the other mug and fill the mug with red dye from the pitcher. Once the sunbather has turned over, use the cooking oil on his back to retrieve the MAP to Blood Island. Walk through the gate to return to the map of the island.
Part III: Three sheets to the wind
Keep throwing lines at the pirates and they’ll reply with a rhyme. Keep this up until you can let them try to rhyme with ‘orange’. That’ll shut them up. To avoid a fierce battle, tell Haggis you’d rather have them help you out. Look at the navigational map.
Now here starts a sequence: sail to a ship and once close enough, shoot it. Since it’s easy mode, one shot should do it. Next you need to battle a pirate with insults. The trick is to try as many responses as possible to learn new ones, so prepare to loose a lot of duels. Once you’ve got the right ones, you can use them to beat the captain. Once you’ve battled a ship you don’t have to do that again, you go straight into duel.
After a won insult duel, use the navigational map to sail to Puerto Pollo in the upper left. Talk to Kenny who changed business and he’ll tell you about the models he has for sale. You should have enough booty to buy the next model up until you reach level 7 cannons (The Destructomatic).
Once you’ve got all upgrades and all witty replies you can try to attack the captain’s ship. Below are all the lines you need to get from the pirates and when to use them with the captain:

Part IV: The bartender, the thieves, his aunt, and her lover
The crew has abandoned you. Pick up the BOTTLE from the beach and walk to the left to see the map of Blood Island. Go to the hotel at the base of the volcano. Go up the stairs and inside where you’ll find the bar. Walk all the way to the left and take the CUSHION from the stool. Talk to the bartender.
To be able to talk to him, you’ll need to find a cure for his hangover. On the bar on the left you can find a blue RECIPE BOOK. Take it and read it. Flip to page 8 to find the recipe for a hangover cure. Now you need to find some ingredients. Leave the bar on the right and then walk down the stairs again. Walk all the way to the left to see the map and then visit the windmill on the far left.
To the right of the front door is a pepper plant. Take the PEPPER from it and walk to the south back to the map. Go to the cemetery on the south side of the island between the mill and the hotel. Follow the path south to another building with a dog sleeping next to it. On the table to the left of the dog a stone is being carved. Take the CHISEL and HAMMER from the table.
Give the half-eaten magotty biscuit from your inventory to the old dog and now you can take a SMELLY DOG HAIR from it’s body. Walk north to the other side of the cemetery and then north again through the gate to see the map again. Go to the beach to the right below the hotel.
On the beach is a rubber tree on the right. At the top of the tree is an egg. Use the cushion on the rocks under the tree and use the mallet on tree to hammer the EGG down. Walk north up the stairs to return to the map and go back to the hotel. Enter the bar again and give the egg, pepper and dog hair to the bartender. He’ll sober up and now you can talk to him.
Ask him for a drink and when he asks what it should be ask him for something fruity with an umbrella in it. You’ll get the UMBRELLA and you can drink the Caribbean Body Slam. Walk to the right and open the door next to the bar between the poster and the neon sign.
In this storage room is a fridge with a magnet on it. Take the MAGNET and leave the storage room again. Leave the bar on the right and walk down the stairs. Leave on the left to see the map. Go to the strange lights next to the volcano. The city is deserted. On the table on the far right you’ll find a MEASURING CUP. Take it and leave on the left again.
On the map go to the beach and use the measuring cup with the seawater to fill the cup. In your inventory bite the bottle to get the CORK from it. Use the pin with the fridge magnet to magnetise the pin and then stick the pin in the cork. Use the combination in the cup of seawater and you’ve got yourself a makeshift COMPASS.
Walk north back to the map and return to the hotel. Enter the bar and talk to the bartender. Talk about the hotel, the island and the ring. You’ll learn about the tomb. The only way to get there is if you’re dead. So…. order another drink and you’ll get a grog. In your inventory use the chisel to open the bottle of Head-B-Clear. Use the Head-B-Clear with the grog on the bar.
Drink the spiked drink and … you’re dead!
Use the chisel on the coffin to open it and then take the NAILS from the coffin. Use the chisel on the coffin in the middle and listen to Stan. Leave the crypt and walk north through the gate. On the map select the hotel. Enter the bar and walk to the left, then up the stairs to the first floor.
Enter the first room on the left and find a room being refurbished. There are portraits on the side and there’s a nail in the exposed wall. Use the mallet from your inventory on the nail to smash it back through the wall, then use the door to leave again and pick up the NAIL from the floor. Also pick up the PORTRAIT that has come from the wall on this side.
Go to the next door. This one is locked but if you use the laminated business card from your inventory to unlock it, you can open the door and go inside. Pull the bed to find a skeleton in it. As soon as you want to pick up the book the bed slams shut again so when open, use the coffin nails and the extra nail from your inventory on the bed to nail it open. You can now pick up the BOOK.
Look at the book. This might help you. Leave the room, go downstairs and talk to the barman again. When you tell him you thought you’d be buried in his aunt’s crypt he tells you you need to be part of the family. When you ask him if he doesn’t recognise you, you need to come up with a name but you can’t. Leave the conversation and go up the stairs again.
In your inventory use the scissors on the portrait to cut the head out and use the remainder on the first door on the left. Open the door to go inside and from the inside look through the porthole. At least you look like family now. Leave the room and go down the stairs, then talk to the bartender again. Ask him whether you look like a Goodsoup. Then tell him you could talk about the family history all day. It’s a good thing you found that book.
Now you have access to all areas, including the tomb. Leave the bar on the right and walk to the left down the stairs and north to the cemetery. Visit Stan on the right and talk to him. Ask him for insurance. He’ll ask how much you’ve got to spend and that your nickels won’t cover it so you have to show him something more substantial.
Tell him about the pirate tooth and you’ve got your INSURANCE POLICY. Now you need to die again. Leave Stan and walk north through the gate to see the map. Return to the hotel and enter the bar. Talk to the barman and order another drink, then add the Head-B-Clear from your inventory to it. Drink the mixture and you’ll die again, ending up in the family tomb.
Walk to the left and talk to the ghost at the altar. Ask her why she’s here and learn all about how to get out and about her wedding ring. You need to find a replacement band. Walk to the left and take the CROWBAR from the crypt. Then Murray drops from the ceiling.
Pick up MURRAY and look through the crack in the wall behind the coffin. In the other room you can see a lantern you could use but how to reach it? In your inventory use the paste with the skeleton arm. Pick up the LANTERN. In your inventory, use the lantern with Murray and you’ll use the combination to scare the %^T&£*W out the the mortal and convince him to open the tomb. He will so leave on the right and walk to the right to leave the tomb. Walk north through the gate and on the map select the hotel.
Enter the bar and walk north into the storage room. In the cabinet on the left you’ll find your DEATH CERTIFICATE. Pick it up and leave the room again. Walk to the right to leave the bar and walk to the left down the stairs, then north onto the cemetery. Visit Stan again and show him your death certificate. He’ll pay out your INSURANCE MONEY.
Leave Stan and walk north to leave the cemetery through the gate. On the map select the hotel and enter the bar. At the left side of the bar, next to the bartender is a MIRROR on the wall. Take it from the wall and to get away with the mirror theft, use the face you cut out earlier with the frame that’s left on the wall.
Take the EMPTY JAR from the other end of the bar and walk to the fortune teller on the right. Talk to her and insist you want to know your future. She’ll eventually draw a card. Repeat this until she has drawn five death cards. Pick up the TAROT CARDS and leave the bar on the right, go down the stairs on the left and walk to the left to see the map.
Go to the windmill on the left. There’s a barrel at the top and to reach it, use the umbrella from your inventory with the blades of the windmill. Once on the upper level, use the empty jar with the barrel to get some of the SUGAR WATER. Go downstairs through the door and walk south to return to the map.
Go to the spot on the right between the beach and the shipwreck. You’ll find Elaine here next to a tree stump with fireflies hovering over it. Put the jar with sugar water on the stump to attract the flies and once they’re all inside, put the lid on the jar. In your inventory, use the chisel with the jar to poke a few holes in the lid. You’ve now created a LANTERN.
Walk to the right to see the map and travel to the peninsula on the south where you’ll find the derelict lighthouse. The mirror is broken but since you’ve got the one from the hotel, use yours with the one from the lighthouse to fix it. Next use your makeshift lantern on the lantern post and the lighthouse is as good as new.
Climb down and go to the beach next to the lighthouse. Talk to the mysterious figure in the boat and ask him to take you to Skull Island. Since you’ve got a compass he can take you there. After the warnings, you’ll end up at the top of the cliff, ready to visit King Andre’s lair.
Talk to the winch operator and ask to be lowered down. But not all goes as planned. During your fall, use the umbrella (don’t take it out) from your inventory and use it to reach the cave. Talk to the pirates, tell them you’ve got a ridiculous amount of money and ask for the diamond. They want something in return. Ask for a deal and they’ll offer you a game of cards. The winner gets the diamond. When you’ve been dealt your cards, take the tarot cards from your inventory and put these on the table. No one can beat five-of-a-kind. You’ll end up with the DIAMOND.
Back at the beach, walk up the stairs to see the map. Go back to the hotel, enter the bar and walk to the left and up the stairs. Use the second door on the left where the skeleton is still in bed. Use the crowbar on the already damaged wall behind the bed to create a gaping hole. Then use the crowbar on the bed to remove the nails you put in earlier. This will reunite him with Minnie and they’ll disappear together. Pick up the ENGAGEMENT BAND she left behind.
Walk all the way to the right to leave the crypt, then walk north through the gate to leave the cemetery. On the map select the shipwreck. Talk to Haggis and ask all about the hand lotion. You can have it id you bring a replacement for their depleted stock of tar. Leave to the left and on the map go to the hotel. Enter the bar and walk into the storage room in the back. Use the chisel on the wheel ‘o cheese to take an UN-MELTED HUNK OF NACHO CHEESE.
Leave the storage room and the bar on the right and walk down the stairs on the left, then left again back to the map. Go to the village next to the volcano. On the table on the left is a large block of tofu. Take the BLOCK OF TOFU and pick up the AUGER from the table opposite.
In your inventory use the auger with the tofu to create a mask. Use the mask (to wear it) and walk north towards the volcano. Here you’ll meet an islander who will take you to an offering. Use the un-melted hunk of nacho cheese with the caldera to offer it. Did someone mention the lactose intolerance?
Walk left to see the map and return to the hotel. Outside on the right, over the now flowing lava, is a cooking pot. Put the left over un-melted hunk of nacho cheese in the pot to melt it. Once molten, take the POT to bring it to Haggis and you can pick up the HAND LOTION. Leave the shipwreck and on the map go to the clearing to return to Elaine.
In your inventory, use the diamond with the wedding band to complete the diamond ring. To take the cursed ring off Elaine, use the hand lotion on it and then take the cursed ring off. Put the real diamond on her finger to lift the curse.
Part V: Kiss of the spider monkey
Talk to LeChuck to learn more about the past and the future and then end the conversation. Once LeChuck is gone, use the door of the cart to leave it and walk to the right to enter the Big Whoop. Talk to Dinghy Dog and ask how you can win one of the prizes.
Ask Dinghy to guess your age and the prize is yours. Aks for the anchor and then take the ANCHOR from the shelf. Examine the bottle in your inventory to see that it’s Captain Nick’s Shaving Soap. Use it with the pie pan to create a fake pie. Add the anchor to the pie to give it some weight. Add the fake pie to the pile of meringue pies and ask Wharf to fire it. It’ll free up the hole in the wall.
Once available, walk to the left and look through the hole in the wall and ask Wharf to fire again, letting you have the MERINGUE PIE. Walk back to Dinghy and push him. Repeat this until he bites you. You’ll end up with some of his DINGHY DOG HAIR.
Walk to the right where you’ll find the soda jerk. Talk to the jerk and ask for a snow cone. In the end you’ll get a PLAIN SNOWCONE. On his cart is a pepper mill. Take the PEPPER MILL and in your inventory add the pepper to the snow cone. Add the meringue pie and the dinghy dog hair to the cone as well to create a DISGUSTING SNOWCONE. Then eat the snowcone. It’s disgusting but at least it helps….
Part VI: Guybrush kicks butt once again
Ride the cart to see all dioramas. Leave the cart at the three headed monkey scene and pick up the fallen ROPE. LeChuck will make sure you’ll take the next cart. Get out again at the next one, the pirate scene and pick up a KEG ‘O RUM.
Get back into the cart and exit again at the scene where Wally is hanging from the ropes. Open the lantern on the right and blow the flask o’ oil to extinguish it. Now you can pick up the FLASK O’ OIL and LeChuck will make sure you’ll get back into the cart.
Get out at the scene you haven’t visited yet: the snowy landscape. Walk up the path until you reach the giant snow monkey. Put the keg o’ rum under its arm. In your inventory combine the rope with the flask o’ oil and then insert the combination into the keg o’ rum.
Walk back down again and wait for LeChuck to appear. When he tries the now familiar trick again, open your inventory, take the pepper mill from it and use it on LeChuck.
