You must find the treasure which is guarded by three guards and three trials.
Cuppit will show up. Talk to the cup and ask if he can fix the game. Tell him you’re not sure what’s wrong. Then ask how BHT works. Talk about everything else, the spelling and the color until you can ask him to shut up. Then apologize and tell him you didn’t mean to be rude. Ask him to talk to the spoon and he’ll leave.
For trial 1:
First start the game by pressing CTRL-T. Press CTRL-X to teleport and type ‘4’ for room 4. You can’t cheat so you’ll end up in jail. In your cell is coffee. Take it and end the game with CTRL-Q. In the menu of BHT select character on the left and guardian in the middle column. Check the ‘clickable’ option. Select the Global messages on the left side and read through the messages to find a password.
For trial 2:
In the menu of BHT select room editor and select room 2: Cave with chasm. Expand the room editor on the left side and select objects. Click the ‘New Object’ button and it will fall down. Select Cursors on the left and in the middle select Cursor 8: UserMode1. Click on ‘Change Image’, followed by OK and select image 8, the glue bucket. Click the objects under the room editor in the left column and you should see the cave. Click the New Object button at the bottom of the screen and put it back in place. Click on the New Object button again to stick it firmly in place.
Click on the ‘New Object’ button to create a new object. From the graphics select graphic 6, the wooden board. On the screen, place the board over the chasm on the right. If it’s not at the right spoy, click the ‘New Object’ button again and try again. Finally click the ‘object is initially visible’. Select the ‘Settings’ under the room editor on the left and deselect the Save/Load disabled option.
Time to test your game. Select File/Test Game from the menu and the game will run. Walk to the guard in front of the cave and talk to him. He’ll ask for the password. Enter ‘rosebud’ as password and the guard will leave. Use the cave to enter. The first chasm has a board over it so cross it. Move your mouse to the top of the screen and push the ‘save’ button. Move your mouse to the top of the screen again and push the ‘exit’ button to end the game.
For trial 2:
Click on the ‘New Object’ button to create a new object. From the graphics select graphic 6, the wooden board. On the screen, place the board over the chasm on the left. On the left select ‘General Settings’ and check the “Debug mode” on the right.
On the left click on the ‘Room Editor’ and select Guardina Cave on the right. Select Settings and uncheck ‘save/load disabled’. Also uncheck ‘hide player character’. Select Objects under the room editor and create a ‘New Object’. From the images select the Fire image (image 7) and place it on the water in the room to extinguish the fire.
Start the game again by pressing CTRL-T. Press F7 to load the game and walk over the board to cross the second chasm. Press CTRL-S to get all inventory objects and take the key to unlock the door. The game will crash because of a script error.
For trial 3:
Press CTRL-G to start the script editor but it doesn’t work. Wait for Cuppit to appear and ask him to fix your script. He’s too tired. Select Cursors on the left and in the middle select Cursor 8: UserMode1. Click on ‘Change Image’, followed by OK and select image 9, the coffee. Give the coffee to Cuppit and ask him to fix the errors in the room script.
Start the game again and cross the second chasm again. Walk towards the door and use the key again to unlock the door and enter the next room. Use the door on the left and Cuppit will appear and only let you enter the room after answering three questions.
1: The maximum score in the first graphical adventure game of Sierra is 158. [note: The reference here is King’s Quest I, although Mystery House was the first graphical adventure made by Sierra.]
2: The ideal size of an adventure game is 9877 [note: The reference here is the size of meta.exe in kilobytes.]
3: The average speed of an unladen swallow. The only answer here is another question so ask “African or European?”.[note: The reference here is Monty Python and the Holy Grail.]
Cuppit will disappear and you can move to the next room by using the door on the left. Walk to the left and take the treasure.

There is a MUCH faster way to finish the game. Using the teleport ability with debug mode, you can enter into room 3. Normally, this ends up with you dying immediately since you spawn in the water and are eaten. HOWEVER, you can place the wooden plank on the spawn area and survive. Walk Roger to the left edge of the plank and save the game. Replace the plank a little closer to the surface and overlapping the left edge it was on before. If you did it right, Roger will still be on the plank. If not, try placing it again. Keep up the pattern until you can walk Roger onto the surface. From there, play the game normally. You’ve managed to bypass all of room 2, gaining the key, and having to use the password on the guard. You do, however, lose points in the long run.
You forgot to mention that in order to teleport, you need to first go into the “General Settings” tab and turn on the Debug Mode.
