Good Santa, Bad Santa – Walkthrough (Wintermute Studios/2002)

Good Santa, Bad Santa Walkthrough Warning! This page contains the complete solution or walk-through to this game. Reading this page can spoil the challenge to complete the game by yourself. Please consider this when reading on. The walk-through of this game given here might not be the optimal solution, it’s a solution. Just to prove that the game can be finished. You just killed an innocent bystander. Or actually, the elf did. Now you need to solve the crime. This can be done in two ways: the good and the bad.

Good Santa:

Talk to the elf and comfort him. You’ll get a very long story but you’ll listen to it all (4/4). Then ask the elf what to do next. Tell him about the plans you have: there’s a good version and a bad version. Of course we take the good version (1/5). Now all we have to do is find the koala.

Walk to the left and find… the koala. Talk to the little creature and ask him about the serial killer. Then tell him it’s going to be allright. Walk back to the right and find the body missing. Talk to the elf and ask what happened. Well… one happy ending (5/10).

One year later at the rooftop. Talk to the elf again and ask him what to do next. You have to put a present through the chimney, under the tree. Use the chimney to climb down and discover that there’s no tree. Leaving through the door is too dark. Look at the shelves on the right and at the one from the bottom you find an old LAMP and a HOOK. Use the hook on the doorframe and use the lamp on the hook (1/11). Now you can go through the door.

Downstairs put the present from your inventory under the tree (3/14). As soon as you do, a zombie enters the room and gives you 30 seconds to find a reason not to kill you. Give the present to the zombie (6/20).

Bad Santa:

Talk to the elf and insult him (-1/-1). Then ask the elf what to do next. The elf can’t think of something and then you tell him you have a plan. An evil plan of course. Just dump the body into sea (-1/-2). Aks the elf for an axe. He has one but you don’t get it. Insult the elf again (-1/-3) and ask for the axe again. Still not. Once more insult the elf (-1/-4) and you still don’t get it. Try again to insult (-1/-5) and ask for the axe. Again not. There must be a way to get that axe. Insult the elf again (-1/-6) and this time the elf is out of arguments. You finally get his AXE.

Pick up the dead guy and in your inventory use the axe on the dead guy (-1/-7). This way it’s easier to transport him. Use the dead guy on the sack in the sleigh and you’re ready to dump him (-3/-10).

One year later you’re at the rooftop. Talk to the elf and ask him what to do next. You have to put the present under the tree through the chimney. Use the chimney to go down and find… no tree. Going through the door si too dark so you use the chimney to go back up again. We need light!

See Rudolphs nose? Open the present (use it on yourself) from your inventory (-1/-11) and use the knife on Rudolphs nose.  Better do that twice to confirm your action (-2/-13). Take the HEAD through the chimney and search the shelves. The one from the bottom has a hidden HOOK and LAMP on it. Use the hook on the doorframe and use Rudolphs head on the hook (-1/-14). Now you can go downstairs.

Put the knife under the tree and as soon as you do, a zombie enter the room. He gives you 30 seconds to find a reason not to kill you. Use the knife on the zombie to kill him (-6/-20).
