Catacombic – Walkthrough (JetXL/2005)

After Philip dies, you take his KEY.

Use the key on the cell door and walk out. Next to the door is a LAMP hanging on the wall. It’s empty though. Use the lamp with the barrels near the cell to fill it with OIL. Then use the door to go outside. Use the door of the building on the right to enter. On the crates at the bottom left is a KETTLE with cold water. Take it. Use the bag between the beds to find the ARCTIC COAT and a KEY in the pockets. Use the kettle on the stove to heat the water. The take the hot KETTLE back again.

Use the key on the small box on the shelf next to the window. Inside the box is a BOOK and a KNIFE. Walk to the south to leave the room and walk to the right to find the bridge. But you can’t cross the damaged bridge. Walk back to the left and take the wooden BOARDS in front of the house on the left. Walk back to the right to return to the bridge and use the boards on the bridge to repair it. The walk further to the right.

On the far right in the north wall has been an entrance of a mine but it has caved in. Use your knife on the pile of ice in front of the opening to cut holes and then use the kettle with hot water on the ice to melt it. There’s an opening you can use now to enter the mine. Inside is a cart on a track but it’s rusted. Use the oil lamp with the cart to loosen the rust and then use the cart to ride it down the track to the other end.

When you’ve climbed out of the cart, use the pile of PEBBLES at the right to take a few and then use the ladder to climb below. Use the door on the left to find it locked with a very special lock. You need to place the pebbles on the boards in sets indicated on the left. The numbers next to the grid are the number of pebbles found in that row or column. Use the pebbles from your inventory to put on the board. There a three versions of the lock:

Once the door has been unlocked you can step inside. The lighthouses  control the walkpaths and you need to create a path to reach the opening on the right. Follow the path to the lower right and use the left lighthouse on that island. A path to the north will become available. Walk across it to the island on the right. Use the lighthouse there.

Walk back to the island on the south with two lighthouses and use the lighthouse on the right side of the island. Walk across the path on the right and use the lighthouse on the next island. Walk again to the right and use the lighthouse on the right again to create the full path to the exit. But you have to walk back to the left and the north. From there you can follow the path to the right to reach the exit. Use it to enter the lair of evil.

The five men are chanting a spell. You hide behind the rock but must stop them. Look at the book in your inventory. Read the book and pay attention to the last four lines of the incantation.  Use the book on one of the men to read the incantation and they’ll try to attack you with a fireball. You can defend with the book but must chant the last four lines in the right order to defeat the men. So select the lines in the order:

SHUNU LI’IKTSHUMAANAKU LU’UUPPATARI!
Tirrama shaluti Sha Kashsapti Sha Ruchi ye Ipushu
Shupi yi arkhish Uppu yush!
ZI DINGER GAL KESHSHEBA KANPA!

The men will turn into butterflies. But now you need to destroy the tree they were worshiping. So use the oil lamp on the tree to burn it down including everything around it.
