Starship Caramba – Walkthrough (Boris Zdero/2005)

Please consider this when reading on. The walk-through of this game given here might not be the optimal solution, it’s a solution. Just to prove that the game can be finished. You requested permission to land but that’s denied because an alien lifeform is detected on your ship. You must try to find it.

Right click and select the map. Go to the engine room. To access complete control over the ship the engine doors need to be unlocked. Use the engine doors to enter the password. Play with the switches until the correct word shows. Make sure you select the C of caramba as final switch. The main engine module is now visible.

Right click and select the map. Go to the warehouse. In the warehouse use the tricoder from your inventory and use it on the small box. There’s your alien. Or…. was. It’s gone now.

Right click and select the map. Go to the holodeck. Use the first bush on the right to get a BROKEN LIGHTSABRE (completely useless) and walk to the left. In the bush behind the bench you can sometimes see a pair of eyes blink. First look at the bush and you’ll see something strange. But as soon as you see the eyes, look at them and the alien will disappear again. Where to now?

Right click and select the map. Go to the living room. Walk to the south and behind the aquarium you can find a tiny spot of the sofa. Near the corner of the room are the eyes again once in a while. As soon as they appear, lookat them. You try to talk with the alien but all it says back is ‘IOP’. What can that mean?

Right click and select the map. Go to the cockpit. Use the computer console. It will start up and select the Search on the screen. Enter IOP as query and click on the OK button. A defenition of the lifeform will popup with several characteristics. The lifeform will stay visible after hearing a sound at 124 Terraherz. It will go home after eating cellulose. Click on Exit to close the search engine.

Right click and select the map. Go to the engine room. To be able to produce a sound at exacty the right frequency you need a METAFREQUENTOR. Take it out of the middle of the engine.

Right click and select the map. Go to the living room. Walk south and take the metafrequentor from your inventory. Use the frequentor on the guitar in the corner. Hit the strings and the alien will stay visible! Now that you can see who you’re dealing with, it’s easier to get rid of. We need to feed it cellulose.

Open the inventory and search for cellulose. There’s only one thing that can be used: the paper. Take the note and use it on the alien. The alien is gone.

Right click and select the map. Go to the cockpit. Use the communication panel on the left to contact earth and tell them you got rid of the alien. They will do another scan and you’re cleared. Use the command chair to land.
