You’re in a hall.
CLIMB WALL and GO WEST into a small office. Since you’re not on the floor, the sand there won’t be turned into Sandman. LOOK CRIB to find a formula inside. TAKE FORMULA and LOOK CRIB again. This time you’ll find a gem. TAKE GEM and GO EAST to return to the hall.
GO FLOOR and GO EAST to find closed elevator doors. OPEN DOORS (do not call the elevator) and ENTER SHAFT. When you EXAMINE SHAFT, you’ll find mostly empty niches and when you EXAMINE NICHE you’ll see another gem. TAKE GEM and GO UP.
Repeat the process to EXAMINE NICHE and TAKE GEM and GO UP and once again on this floor: EXAMINE NICHE and TAKE GEM but when you want to go up again, there’s something that’ll stop you. LOOK UP to see the elevator so when you PUSH ELEVATOR out of the way, you can GO UP again. EXAMINE NICHE and TAKE GEM.
GO WEST into the penthouse. EXAMINE THERMOSTAT to see it’s 71 degrees. LOWER THERMOSTAT and EXAMINE THERMOSTAT to see the temperature dropped with 20 degrees. LOWER THERMOSTAT again and EXAMINE THERMOSTAT to see the temperature at 31 degrees. That’s just below freezing.
OPEN DESK to find a gem so TAKE GEM and EXAMINE PAINTING to see the name on it. REMOVE FRAME to see a torn paper behind it. TAKE PAPER and READ PAPER to find a partial formula that needs special ingredients.
TAKE PAINTING, TAKE COUCH and TAKE DESK. Now the room is empty. ENTER SHAFT and GO DOWN [3] three times. GO WEST into a waiting room and GO WEST again into the hall where you started. GO NORTH into the hall and GO NORTH again to a deserted office where you’ll find Madam Web.
TALK MADAM and she’ll ask you to let her scan something like: scan lizard. So SCAN LIZARD and she’ll give you another formula. GO SOUTH into the hall and GO EAST into a small office with an ice statue. TAKE STATUE and TAKE BLOCK. Now GO WEST back into the hall and GO SOUTH further into the hall. GO EAST into a waiting room.
ENTER SHAFT and GO UP and GO UP again. Then GO WEST into the waiting room. GO WEST again into the hall. When you GO WEST again, you’ll find a computer lab with the ringmaster next to a knob. As soon as you PUSH KNOB, the ringmaster will demand you to leave and you’ll end up in the hall again. The way around this is to CLOSE EYES, then GO WEST into the computer lab. In the dark, PUSH KNOB and then TURN KNOB. If you OPEN EYES, you’ll see that the ringmaster is gone and a gem appeared. TAKE GEM.
ENTER COMPUTER to find the keyboard and then TYPE RUN. You’ll see the amount of paper needed to start the press. GO EAST back into the hall and GO SOUTH into a small deserted office. There’s chemical stored here. TAKE ACID and TAKE CALCIUM, then GO NORTH into the hall and GO NORTH again into the laboratory.
MIX CHEMICALS to create calcium chloride and TAKE CHLORIDE. From here GO SOUTH to the hall and GO EAST into the waiting room. ENTER SHAFT and GO DOWN a floor. GO DOWN another one and GO WEST into the waiting room. GO WEST again into the hall and from here GO SOUTH into the deserted office.
The office isn’t totally deserted because Lizard Man is here as well. THROW CHLORIDE at him and he’ll turn into Doc Conners and falls asleep. EXAMINE CONNERS to find a gem so TAKE GEM and TAKE CONNERS as well. GO NORTH into the hall and GO NORTH again further into the hall. GO NORTH once more to the office with Madam Web. DROP GEM and DROP GEM again, then GO SOUTH back to the hall and GO SOUTH again further into the hall. GO EAST into the waiting room and ENTER SHAFT.
GO UP and GO UP one floor more, then GO WEST into the waiting room and GO WEST again into the hall. GO SOUTH into the deserted office where you’ll find exotic chemicals. TAKE CHEMICALS and GO NORTH back into the hall. GO NORTH again into the laboratory. You can MAKE WEB but it’s only a partial succes. GO SOUTH back to the hall.
GO EAST into the waiting room and ENTER SHAFT. Inside, GO DOWN one floor and GO WEST into the waiting room. GO WEST again to the side of the skyscraper and then CLIMB ROOF. The air , intake has some strange mist below but to get there you need to REMOVE MESH, then DROP MESH and ENTER DUCT.
TAKE GEM that’s here and now there’s a large fan in your way. EXAMINE FAN to see it’s spinning at 500rpm and there’s a button beyond it. SPRAY WEB and when asked at what: AT FAN. Now EXAMINE FAN again to see it now spins at 400rpm. Repeat this process of SPRAY WEB and AT FAN until it spins at 50rpm. Now you can SPRAY WEB and AT BUTTON to stop the fan entirely.
ENTER FAN to find another gem, leave it for now. In the maze of ducts GO DOWN [5] five times until you find Dr. Octopus and Electro. TAKE DOCTER and he’ll get stuck to the press, then HIT ELECTRO. Now they are both stunned. GO WEST into the paper room where you’ll find the scale. LOOK DIAL to find only 2 pounds of paper. Only 955 more to go before you can start the press.
To accumulate some weight, DROP CONNERS (170 pounds), DROP COUCH (70 pounds), DROP STATUE (200 pounds) and DROP DESK (80 pounds). Not enough yet. GO EAST and EXAMINE DOCTOR to find a gem. EXAMINE ELECTRO to find another. TAKE DOCTOR, then TAKE ELECTRO and TAKE GEM and TAKE GEM.
GO WEST to the scales and DROP DOCTOR (250 pounds) and DROP ELECTRO (185 pounds). That’s exactly 957 pounds. The press should now work. TAKE GEM and GO EAST to the presses, then GO UP [5] five times back to the fan. You left a gem here so TAKE GEM and ENTER FAN to return to the duct. GO DOWN to the office ceiling and GO DOWN again to float in the sky. FEEL NORTH and you’ll find a door that you’ll enter. TAKE GEM you can see here and GO SOUTH, back floating in the sky.
FEEL SOUTH to find another door you’ll enter to get back into a deserted office where you can see another gem. TAKE GEM and GO NORTH back to the sky. GO EAST to the side of the skyscraper and GO EAST again into the waiting room. ENTER SHAFT of the elevator and GO UP one level.
GO WEST into the waiting room and GO WEST again into the hall. GO WEST another time into the computer lab. ENTER COMPUTER and TYPE RUN. This time the paper will print. GO EAST back into the hall and GO EAST again into the waiting room. ENTER SHAFT of the elevator and GO UP one floor.
GO WEST into the penthouse. RAISE THERMOSTAT and the block of ice in your inventory will turn back into a aquarium. EMPTY AQUARIUM to take the gem out and then DROP AQUARIUM. Now you can TAKE GEM.
ENTER SHAFT again and GO DOWN. The GO DOWN another floor and GO WEST into the waiting room. GO WEST again to the side of the building and CLIMB ROOF. From here ENTER DUCT and ENTER FAN.
GO DOWN [5] five times in the maze of ducts and find the folded newspaper. OPEN NEWSPAPER to find another gem inside. TAKE GEM and then return back through the maze, GO UP [5] five times, back to the fan. ENTER FAN and GO DOWN to the office ceiling. GO DOWN again to float in the sky. GO EAST to the side of the skyscraper and GO EAST again into the waiting room.
ENTER SHAFT and GO DOWN one floor. GO WEST into the waiting room and GO WEST again into the hall. GO NORTH further into the hall and LOOK WEST to see a bio gem. SPRAY WEB and when asked at what: AT GEM. Once sprayed, you can TAKE GEM.
GO NORTH into the office with Madame Web and DROP GEM [10] ten times. You’ve now stored 18 gems so you can SCORE and get the password from the Chief Examiner.
