You arrived at the location where the city once was. Walk forward until your path is blocked by a huge tanker. Turn right towards the diner, which is closed, and look at the container next to the door. Open the container and take the BROKEN UMBRELLA out. Leave the container and turn right.
Go forward once, then turn right. In the center of the building is the ticket booth. Look at it and a skeleton behind the window will present you a ticket. Take the TICKET and leave the booth. The theatre is closed so not much to do here. Turn right to face the tanker again and standing next to it again, turn left and walk into the alley.
Above the door on the left you can see the fire escape but it’s too high to reach it. Use the umbrella on the stairs to pull them down and climb them to the balcony. Use the window to enter the room. You’re now in a small office and when you step forward you’ll see someone appear behind the desk. Then Kelly contacts you.
After the conversation look at the desk and open the drawer on the right. Inside you’ll find the dismissal notice of Josh. Put the form back, close the drawer and leave the desk. Turn around and look at the clock. It’s stuck at 1.15. Leave the clock and turn left. Walk forwards to leave the room. The door opposite is locked.
Turn left and walk to the right around the corner. The first door on the right is locked as well, the second door on the right is open but as soon as you approach, it’ll slammed in your face and you can hear a heated conversation. Use your fists to try to open the door again but it’s not budging.
Turn right and walk back in the hall, turn left at the end and walk forward past the door of the office you came through earlier. The door after that on the right is open and leads to the stairwell. Go down the stairs and into the foyer. Walk towards the large staircase in front of you and Kelly will contact you. In front of the stairs go to the back and right to find the bar, albeit in a bit of a state.
Facing the mirror turn right and you’ll have a vision of the barman arranging a date with a girl. Look at the side of the cash register to read the note about the key to the service room. Look at the front of the register to see buttons and a handle but the register won’t open. Leave the cash register and look at the fridge on the left. More notes on there. It tells you how to open the cash register without a payment.
The note says: C-1 K-B K-D C-1. Have a look at the front of the cash register again. On the left side there are three switches: A, B and D. SO if C is the crank and K are the keys: turn the handle, press B, press D and turn the handle again. The drawer will open and you can take the KEY to the service room out.
Leave the cash register and turn around. Left of the door is also a clock and when you look at it, you’ll notice it’s at the exact same time as the one in the office.
Turn left to leave the bar and walk forward twice to the white door. When you try to open it, you’ll find it locked but you’ll hear sobbing on the other side. Use the key from the till on the door to unlock it and enter the service room.
Walk inside to the metal wardrobe and open the door on the right. It’s empty. But when you’ll close the door again, you’ll see Jenny. Introduce yourself and then ask about Josh. Open the door on the left and take the yellow RUBBER GLOVE from the top shelf. Then turn around and leave the service room.
Go up the grand stairs in front of you to the balcony. The first door you’ll see is of the toilets. Go inside and turn right, then look at the door on the left in the back. Look closer at the toilet behind the door and find a key in there. Use the rubber glove to take the KEY out of the toilet.
Leave the stall, turn around and leave the toilet. On the balcony turn left and walk forwards to the next door on the left. It’s locked but you can open it with the key you just fished out of the other toilet. Inside you’ll find a ID BADGE on the corner of the sink. Take it, turn around and leave the toilets again.
Turn left and follow the balcony, at the end turn left and try to use the double doors. You path will be blocked by a steward. You’re not allowed in. Turn around and follow the balcony to stairs and go down, then, when facing the white door, turn left to see another set of double doors. Use them to find them locked but you can use the id badge from upstairs to get in although you’ll loose the badge now.
Enter the theatre and you’ll be greeted by another ghost. Walk towards the stage and turn around. Up on the balcony on the right you’ll see a shadow of a figure. Then Simon will contact you and update you on the history of the town.
Leave the theatre and in the lobby turn right and go up the stairs again. In front of the toilet doors upstairs turn right and follow the balcony to the end and turn left again to the double doors. It looks like you’re denied access again but if you can help with a crossword puzzle you might have a peek inside.
Look at the desk of the steward to see the crossword puzzle. The first word you need to find is a alternative for “when you don’t want to be recognised”. The solution is ‘costume’ so enter the missing letters.
The second missing word is for “unsubstantiated gossip” which is ‘rumor’. Also enter these letters. You’re now allowed on the balcony. Walk inside and turn left. Look c loser at the chair at the front row to find a COIN on it. Take it and walk in front of the chairs to the end.
You’ll find a sister who warns you that you shouldn’t find out what happened but when you insist, she’ll mention the cleansing. Aks her to tell more about the cleansing. She’ll warn you that you’ve disturbed the dead and now they’ll come for you. You’ll hear the growl of the hunter and you need to leave fast!
Turn around and walk back to the double doors. Go to the right and follow the balcony to the stairs. The steward will help you by telling you that the office of Mr. Epps is a safe place. Go down the stairs and facing the white door use the door to the left of it and go inside. Immediately turn left and you should be safe. Then Kelly will contact you again.
Turn around, leave the office and turn right. Use the door on the right to enter the staircase and go down the stairs. Go up the grand staircase in front of you and in front of the toilets turn right. Follow the balcony to the end and turn left to the double doors and step onto the balcony in the theatre. You’ll see words appear on the big screen.
Leave the screen and outside on the balcony turn right. Follow the balcony to the stairs and go down the stairs. Return to the left of the white one and use it to enter the stairwell. Go to the upper right to enter the corridor and use the second door on your right. This one got slammed in your face earlier. The door is still locked. But what did the big screen say?
Knock on the door three times and you can go inside. Walk forward to the shelves and turn left to find Josh between the shelves. Tell him you’re here to help him. Josh tells you he wants to know if Jenny is alright.
Turn left and use the door to leave the storage room. Outside, turn left and follow the hallway to the left, then take the second door on the right to enter the stairwell, then use it to return to the foyer. Facing the grand stairs, turn left and use the white door, then step forward twice and you’ll speak to Jenny. You tell her about Josh and ask her if she wants to send him a message.
Press the record button on the VIC and you’ll record her message. Turn around and leave the room. Kelly will notify you that she’s also heard the message. Back in the foyer turn right twice and use the door to enter the stairwell, then use them to go up. Follow the hallway to the upper right and use the second door on the right to enter the storage room again.
Walk forward and turn left to see Josh again, you’ll play the message. Now Josh wants to know what’s happened and asks you to find out. Turn around and you’ll see John open another door.
Walk to the door and use it to enter the projection room. Turn left to see the projector. Against the wall on the left is a desk. Take a closer look at it and open the bottom drawer on the left to find a SCREWDRIVER. Take it and use the drawer on the top right to find a note. It’s a request to repair a speaker on stage.
Leave the desk and look closer at the projector. It’s an old one and next to it is a shovel against the wall. Take the SHOVEL and leave the projector room. Turn left and leave the storage room as well. In the hallway turn left, walk down the hallway to the end and turn left, then take the second door on the right to enter the stairwell and go down the stairs.
Downstairs turn right and go towards the double doors. Standing in front of them, turn right and take a closer look at the arcade machine. It switches on but needs a coin to play so insert the coin you found earlier and the game will show the rules: You need to shoot the animal with the highest score in the screen. If there are duplicate animals you need to add their value and take the highest score then. The value of the animals: bear = 10, skunk = 20, rabbit = 50, deer = 100.
The game is not random so shoot in order: rabbit, deer, deer, rabbit, deer, rabbit, skunk, deer, rabbit and skunk. When you’ve won the game, you’ll see a floorplan of the theater. On stage is an X. Look at the X and you’ll wonder what it could mean.
Leave the arcade and turn left towards the double doors. Use the doors and enter the theatre. Walk towards the stage and look at the edge of the stage. Underneath the edge you can see a panel. It’s a door but it’s stuck as the note already said. Use the screwdriver on the panel and it’ll open and give access to the room underneath.
Enter the revealed room and you’ll meet Charles. He’ll only let you in if you have a ticket so give him the ticket from your inventory. Once Charles is gone, look at the room and the dark spot on the floor. Use the shovel on the dark area to dig up two skeletons. Look at the remains to realize that Charles got away with murder.
Leave the grave and turn around to find Josh and Jenny. They’ll thank you for finding out what happened and they’ll direct you to the emergency exit. Leave the room under the stage and turn left. Walk towards the exit and when you open it, Barbara, the steward will thank you as well.
Leave the building and walk forward into the main street. Then Kelly will call you and give you more information to use in part 2.
