You’re standing in front of the staircase.

Walk towards the doors on the left and open them to enter the dining room. On the table is a cake. Walk towards the cake and you’ll see six ghost who will tell you what they want: six equal pieces of the cake, including the symbols.

The cake:

There are 30 pieces and 6 ghosts. Each will want 5 squares: 2 with skull, 2 with tombstones and 1 empty square.

1: Start by cutting the column on the right: from top to bottom 2 skulls, 1 empty and 2 stones.
2: Cut the bottom row from left to right: 2 stones, 1 skull, 1 empty, 1 skull.
3: Make a U shape on the lower right: start with the top skull in the right column, then the skull underneath. Then the empty square left of it, then the stone left of that, finally the stone above that one.
4: Do the same in the upper left corner with an N-shape: start with the empty square under the skull in the left column, then the skull above that one. Next the stone to the right and again the stone to the right of that one. Finally the skull underneath.
5 & 6: Two pieces left.

Turn to the right to face the doors again and open them. Facing the stairs turn left and go towards the door. Open it and enter the kitchen. Look at the chopping block to see how a ghost tries to solve a puzzle. Walk towards the back wall to try it yourself.

The cans:

Each can has a letter. You need to swap them so that there will be a sentence. It’s a tongue twister with a lot of Y’s: SHY GYPSY SLYLY SPRYLY TRYST BY MY CRYPT.

Leave the doors left and right for now but turn around and walk back into the hallway. Turn 180° towards the door and open it. In the hall walk towards the large vase, then turn left and walk towards the stained glass front door. Turn left here to face the stairs and the walk towards the double doors to the right of the stairs.

You can’t enter here yet but when you turn right, there’s another door. Walk towards it, open it and step into the library. Walk towards the double doors in the back where you’ll find a telescope.

The telescope:

You need to click the letters in a order so that a sentence is being formed: THERE IS NO POSSIBLE WAY.

After that you’ll be facing the books so turn left and walk towards the door. Use the door to get back into the hallway and turn left towards the stained glass doors. Walk towards the doors and then turn left twice to face the stairs go up the stairs to find a painting. Turn left again and walk into the hallway, then turn left at the first door.

Use the door to enter the bedroom and look at the bedspread. It’s another puzzle, with poppies.

The bedspread:

Make a sentence by jumping 3 or 5 steps forwards or backwards (stars are spaces). The sentence should become: THE*SKY*IS*RUDDY*YOUR*FATE*IS*BLOODY.

Turn to the right to face the door and open it. Use the door opposite to enter the next bedroom. The lady on the bed mentions the maze. Look at the floor to see the maze and note the path to follow. Once done here you’ll find a chessboard with 8 bishops.

The bishops:

Your object is to move the black bishops to where the white bishops are and vice versa. Best is to work with the bishops on one color first, then repeat the process with the others. Number the squares from 1 to 20 from left to right from top to bottom. Then the sequence is:

10, 6, 14-2, 12-18, 16-4, 4-10, 2, 8-16, 20-8, 18, 10, 8-4, 6, 2-20, 18-14, 4, 12-6, 14.  That’s first half done. Now for the second half: 15,11, 9-17, 7-3, 1-19, 19-15, 17, 13-1, 5-13, 3, 15, 13-19, 11, 17-5, 3-9, 19, 7-11, 9.

Turn right to face the door and then use the door to return to the hallway. Turn left and walk straight ahead twice to find three doors. Turn left and use the door to enter the bedroom. In front of the bed on the floor is a maze in the carpet.

The heart maze:

You need to change the valves so that when you press the heart, the blood flows to the right. See the image above for the solution.

Turn right to see the door and leave the room. In the hallway turn left and use the door to enter the games room. On the left there’s a chess board.

The queens:

Position the 8 queens on the board in a way that they can’t ‘see’ each other. There are many way to do this (92 in fact), but one is: number the squares from 1 to 64 from left to right from top to bottom and position the queens at: 2, 12, 22, 32, 35, 41, 55, 61

Use the pool table and you’ll end up in the kitchen. Turn right and use the door to enter the pantry and you’ll see a grate.

The grate:

To get through the hole on the right (or to create a hole there) you need to swap the two panels. But you can only slide them. Number the panels from 1 to 6, top to bottom, left to right and follow this sequence: 5, 6, 3, 2, 5, 4, 1, 2, 5, 6, 3, 2, 5, 4, 1, 2, 3, 6, 5, 4, 1, 2, 3, 6, 5, 4, 1, 2, 3, 6, 5

You’re now in a maze. You have seen this one before on the carpet before doing the bishops puzzle.

The maze:

S = Straight, R = Right, L = Left: 9S, R, S, 3R, L, R, S, R, L

This will bring you to the crypt.

The crypt:

When you open 1 coffin, others close and vice versa. Your task is to get them all closed. Since this game starts from random, here’s the page where you can generate your solution. Walk towards the coffin to find yourself back in the kitchen again.

Turn left and walk towards the door. Then open it into the hall. Walk forward to the large vase, then turn left towards the stained glass door. Turn left to face the double doors, then walk towards them and turn right. Walk towards the door you see now and use it to enter the library.

Walk north towards the telescope and the turn right to face the fireplace. Walk towards the fireplace to see it has a secret door and end up upstairs. Walk forwards into the hallway and turn left. Walk forward four times to the end of the corridor and turn right. Use the door here to enter the bedroom.

On the bedside table on the right are playing cards.

The cards:

You need to turn over all the cards but can only turn cards that are ‘next to each other’. Cards that are already flipped are ignored as adjacent. There are two different layouts: a D and a rocket.

R=Right, L=Left, U=Up, D=Down.

Solution for the rocket-shape: start at second row, leftmost card. R R D D L L U L D R U L U
Solution for the D-shape: start at the third row (middle), rightmost card. L D R U L U R D L L U R D

Turn left and you’ll see three doors. Use the one in the middle and turn left. Walk forward twice and turn to the right. Then enter the bedroom (with the maze carpet). Walk forward to the back of the room where you’ll open the to enter the bathroom. Turn left and look at the floor for another puzzle.

The knights:

You need to swap the black knights with the whites and vice versa. Number the squares from 1 to 25, from left to right, top to bottom. Then use: 16, 23, 12, 21, 18, 15, 4, 7, 18, 11, 8, 5, 14, 3, 10, 13, 2, 9, 18, 25, 14, 23, 12, 1, 8, 11, 18, 15, 8, 5, 14, 17, 6, 3, 12, 19, 10, 3, 12, 19, 22, 13, 20, 9, 12, 19, 10, 13, 24, 15, 4, 13, 24, 17, 6, 3, 10, 13.

Turn right and use the door to enter the corridor. Turn right again, walk forward and turn left, then open the door into a bedroom. There’s a coin puzzle on the bed here, similar to the card puzzle you did earlier: flip all the coins but only adjacent ones can be flipped. Also here are two patterns.

The coins:

R=Right, L=Left, U=Up, D=Down.

The trapezium shape: start at the top, then: D, R, D, R, D, R, D, D, L, U, L, U, L, U.
The circle shape: start at the second row, leftmost coin, then: R, R, D, D, L, L, U, L, D, R, D, R, U, R, U, L, D, L, U, R.

Look at the door on the left in the back and you’ll be taken to an altar room. There’s a puzzle on the floor which has to be solved before you can continue.

The floor:

Go from the arrow at the lower left to the arrow at the upper right by stepping on stones which disappear once you’ve stepped on them. You can win this as long as the third tile you step on is a purple one (making the end arrow the third step).  The order to go across: P=purple, O=orange, B=blue

P next to the arrow, O right, P right, B right, O above, P upper right, B above, B above, P left, B above, O right, End arrow.

Walk towards the altar and after watching the scene, turn right to end up in a operating room/lab. Walk forward to see the microscope in the back.

The microscope:.

This is the trickiest one of the game. There are three ways to win this (it’s not really a puzzle).

1: Brute force. Keep trying and beat the computer.
2: Giving up. Start the game, interrupt and visit the library to get hints. Repeat until the computer says the game is finished.
3: Following below strategy. I’ve tried it several times and it worked every time. Thanks to Anstinus who posted it on Steam.

Number the columns from A to G. Number the rows from 1 to 7. Then:
G7-F7, computer goes A7-B7. If not, restart the game.
F7-E7, computer goes B7-C7. If not, restart the game.
G7-G6, F7-D6, E7-E6, G6-E5, E5-D4, C5-C6, G7-F5, E4-D4, C6-B6, B6-B7, A7-A6, B6-B5, A6-A5, B5-B4, A5-A4, C4-D3, D3-E2, D3-E1, F2-G4, G4-G3, B4-C3, A1-C2, D3-C1, B4-B3, D1-B2, B2-B1, A4-A3, A3-A2, A2-A1.

Turn left and walk forwards through the gate. You’ll end up in the library. Turn right and use the doors to reach the hall. Turn left and walk forward towards the glass stained door. Watch the scene there and you can then solve the stained glass puzzle.

The spiders:

When you click a purple dot, a spider appears. When you click a second purple dot, the spider will walk towards it. Let all purple dots be occupied by spiders. Number the dots from 1 to 8 starting at 12 o’clock counting clockwise. Then: 1-4, 6-1, 2-6, 8-2, 5-8, 2-5, 7,

Turn left and walk towards the double doors. Go through into the music room. Watch the scene at the piano, then solve the puzzle.

The piano:

Play back what is played to you. Number the keys (starting under the first A of Staufway) from 1 to 14 from left to right, including the black keys. Then play: 1, 13, 8, 9, 6, 5, 6, 8, 6, 1, 13, 14, 13, 11, 9, 8, 6, 8.

Turn right and use the door to return to the hall. Walk twice forward towards the stained glass door and turn right twice. Go up the stairs and at the top turn left and walk forward until you reach the door, then use it to enter the toys room. There’s a puzzle on the table.

The picture:

Number the squares from 1 to 9 from top to bottom from left to right. Click on the button under square 7 until square 4 is correct. Click on the button under square 8 until square 5 is right. Click on the button under square 9 until square 6 is right.

If there are two similar pictures in square 1, 2 and 3, start again. If there are two similar pictures in 7, 8 and 9 start again. If not, Click the button left of square 1 until the top row is correct. Click on the button left of square 7 until the bottom row is correct.

Walk forward on the left to have a look in the dolls house and use the door inside to view another toys room and use the cabinet with drawers on the right to solve another puzzle.

The blocks:

You need to make a correct sentence. Number the blocks from 1 to 9 from top to bottom from left to right and press: 2 top, 9 bottom, 3 right, 7 left, 2 top, 9 bottom, 9 right, 4 left. The blocks now spell GET BOY TAD.

Turn right and return to the corridor. Walk straight ahead four times and turn right to go down  the stairs. At the stained glass door turn left twice to face the stairs again. Look at the bottom of the stairs to see a well and you’re transported to the art gallery. Turn right and you’ll see Stauff’s portrait.

The portrait:

Turn all parts of the portrait to normal. Since the start is random there’s no fixed solution but you can use this page to generate a solution.

Turn right and step through the painting into the music room. Use the plant on the right to enter the bedroom upstairs and turn right to face the door. Use it to enter the corridor and walk straight ahead twice and use the door to see the knocker.

The knives:

There are knives in a star shape. You need to remove all the knives but one by ‘jumping over’ each other. Number the locations from 1 to 10 from top to bottom from left to right. So the top is 1, the second row is 2, 3, 4 and 5 the third row 6 and 7, the fourth row 8 and the fifth row 9 and 10. Then:

6, 5, 8, 2, 1, 5, 10, 9.

You’ll unlock the door and face some stairs. Climb them to the attic. On the right is the tower puzzle.

The tower:

You need to assign a direction to each shape of window (by selecting the second shape after the first one). Once you’ve chosen 4 directions, you should be able to make it to the next level (there are three).

1: number the windows from 1 to 40 from left to right from top to bottom. Then select 38. From there select 30. Circle now becomes ‘up’. Select 31. Semicircle now is ‘right’. Select 23, Square is now ‘left’. Select 13 and arch becomes ‘down’. This will get you to the end of this level.

2: number the windows from 1 to 24 from left to right from top to bottom. Then select  21.

3: number the windows from 1 to 12 from left to right from top to bottom (not counting the top tower). Then select  10.

Look at the chest to see what’s inside and then walk towards the door in the back to see in the mirror. Then turn left to see the finale.
