Leave the castle and cross the bridge on the left.
Keep walking until you see a rock. Make sure to stand behind the rock and push the rock (2/2). This will reveal a hole. Look inside the hole to discover there’s a dagger hidden. Take the DAGGER (5/7). Walk to the north to the large oak. Look at the tree. Walk to the rock at the base of the tree and climb the tree (2/9) to see what’s in it. You’ve found a huge golden egg. Now very carefully walk across the branch of the tree. Do not fall! Take the EGG when you’re in front of it (6/15). Go back the way you came… just as carefull.
Leave the screen to the right. Look at the garden to see what grows here. Carrots! Take a CARROT (2/17). Walk to the north to the lake. Look at the lake. If there’s an elf, walk closer to her and talk to the elf. She’ll give you a magic RING that will make you invisible once (3/20). If there isn’t an elf yet, walk to the north and immediately south again until there is. When you have the ring, walk north again and look at the bowl. It’s a ceramic bowl. Pick up the BOWL (3/23) and then look at the bowl in your inventory (1/24). There’s the word ‘fill’ written inside.
Walk to the left. A large tree. Look at the tree. It’s loaded with walnuts. Pick up a NUT (3/27). Use the nut in your inventory to open it. It’s got gold inside (3/30). If not, pick another one and open it until you do. Leave the tree and go three screens to the south, past the house, the tree with the egg until the rock you moved. Turn left here. Walk to the lake and take some PEBBLES (1/31) from the beach. Walk two screens left. Look at tge log. It’s rotten. Look at the stump below it. Also very old. Look in the stump (1/32). Now you can see a pouch. Take the POUCH (3/35). Take a closer look at it in your inventory. It’s made of canvas and filled with DIAMONDS (3/38).
Walk to the right and in front of the lake go south. Enter the house. As the woodcutter and his wife don’t have much to eat, use the bowl in your inventory (2/40) and then give the bowl to the woodcutter (3/43). As thanks you may take the FIDDLE (3/46) when you can reach it and leave the house.
Go two screens south to the gingerbread house. Look at the house. It’s made of cake and other delicious material. Use the house to eat some of it (2/48). Use the front to knock on it. If there’s an answer, walk one screen to the left and return again, just until there’s no answer from the door and thus no one home. The use the door to go inside. Walk to the bedroom on the right of the house and take the NOTE from the table (1/49). Look at the note in your inventory (2/51). While reading the letter the witch will come home. Don’t panic. Since you’re in the other room, she can’t see you. She’s going to make dinner. Sneak up behind her and push her into the cauldron (7/58). Open the cupboard (2/60) to see what else the witch has to eat. Take the CHEESE (2/62). Leave the house and walk three screens left and one south.
You find a clover patch. In the middle of it is a four leaf clover. Take the CLOVER (2/64). Go one screen to the south and three screens to the right to see the well. The bucket is very old and worn. Use the dagger on the bucket to cut the rope and then take the BUCKET from the rope (2/66). Lower the rope to let it descend into darkness. Then use the rope to climb down the well (2/68) . Because there’s no bucket anymore, use the water below you to jump into the water. You’ll swim to prevent from drowning. Use the bucket on the water to take some WATER with you (2/70) and then use the water to dive in (4/74) and to go to the bottom of the well. Swim to the opening on the left. Use the land to climb out and walk to the left (1/75). You’re facing a dragon.
Walk a bit to the left, just enough for the dragon to lift its head, but not spit any flames. Throw the water to the dragon (5/80) to extinguish the flames and let the dragon flee. You are now safe to take the MIRROR (8/88). To see how handsome you are, use the mirror on yourself. You don’t see the real you but a vision of you being king. Leave the cave to the left, throught the opening the dragon made. Exit the cave on the top left side of the screen (2/90).
Walk a screen to the south. There’s a goat. Use the gate to open it, get in and close the gate again before the goat escapes. Walk to the left to where the goat is. When you’re near the goat, give the carrot to the goat (5/95). The goat will follow you wherever you go. Walk to the right, open the gate and leave the goat’s habitat. Go two screens left and two screens north from here, until you’re at a bridge. Try to cross the bridge. The troll will try to prevent you from crossing but because you braught the goat, the goat will take care of the troll (4/99). You can now cross the bridge and the goat will find it’s own way.
Meet the gnome. Talk to him. He has something for you that can help you in your quest but you can only have it if you guess his name. The answer is Rumplestiltskin but backwards (remember the letter from the witch?). So the answer is NIKSTLITSELPMUR . Your reward are a few BEANS (9/108). Walk to the right, cross the bridge and walk another screen to the right.
Use the beans in the in the flowerfield (2/110). Now use the stalk that has grown. A very difficult task but it can be done (2/112). When you’re in the clouds, walk to the right, until you’re on solid ground under colourful trees. Go south one screen and right two screens. The tree on the far right has a hole in the base. Use the hole to find a SLING (2/114).
Go one screen to the left. Use the ring in your inventory and you’ll become invisible. Go one screen north. Meet the giant. Since you’re invisible, the giant won’t hurt you. With patience here, the giant will eventually fall asleep (7/121). Walk over to the giant and take the CHEST (8/129). Walk to the right and enter the cave. Walk carefully down the boards until you reach a door. Use the door and you”re outside again.
Go one screen south, five screens right and one to the north. A friendly bird will visit. Go to the center of the screen where two small rocks are on the ground. Use the hand over the opening of the cave and when the bird is coming down, click to jump to grab it’s paws and when done right, the bird will take you for a flight (3/132). You might have to repeat the jump a few times before the bird will take you. After a few passes you might want to walk to the south and enter the screen again to make the bird appear again.
As soon as you’re dropped, walk to the left. Near the stream is a huge mushroom. Pick up the MUSHROOM (1/133). Go back to the right and jump into the hole. Go south and to the left and meet a giant rat. Talk to the rat to find out it wants a treasure. Now you’ve got a lot of valuables with you but what’s a treasure to a rat? Give the cheese to the rat. You must stand close, but be carefull (2/135).
Now that the rat’s gone, use the door on the left and enter the room of the leprechauns. As soon as you enter the room, use the fiddle so they’ll dance and eventually disappear (3/138). Go left and watch the leprechauns disappear one by one. The king will also leave the room. Take the SCEPTRE (6/144) and the SHIELD (8/152). Walk to the left and to the opening on the left. Though you’re not big, you’re not going to fit through there. Use the mushroom on yourself (2/155) and you’ll shrink. Walk through the opening and once on the other side, you’ll grow again.
When you’re out in the open again, walk four three screens south, two screens to the right. You’re at the castle again!
Cross the bridge and use the gate to enter the castle (3/158).
