Look around the room. It’s always good to start with the obvious: look through garbage and trashcans. Browsing through the big black garbage bag reveals apart from a headache: A BOTTLE OF SODIUM CARBONATE. Look further round the room. There’s a wardrobe. Closed. Hmm… If we had the right tools. Turn back to the sink and look under it … again. The box there can now be checked. It’s taped but you can pry it open with your hands. Take the SCREWDRIVER. Back to the closet. Take the screwdriver from your inventory and use it on the door. You’ll have to pick the lock by ear. A ‘click’ is good, a ‘thud’ is false. The combination you’ll have to find from right to left is UP, DOWN, DOWN, UP, DOWN, UP, DOWN, UP. The door will open.

Take the SPONGE and the PLUG from the wardrobe. Walk over to the corner of the room left from the door where the TV-set is. Use the plug on the TV and watch the screen. Below it is a typewriter with a letter still in it. It’s from Coombs. Catterpillar… hide it …. out of the wall… hmm. Next to the left of it is a box with books. Thumb through the top one and learn about sodium carbonate, copper sulphate and surfaces. To the left is a tapedeck. Use the deck several times to listen to all the journals on the tapes.

Look around. Look at the cross on the wall and try to take it. Make you want to scream! That said: have you seen the picture? Take a look. Out of the wall. That could mean… You can’t take the picture off but maybe there’s another way to reveal something. Use the sponge on the tap. This will make it wet… and rusty because of the brown water. Use the sodium carbonate on the sponge. It’s now light blue. Use the sponge on the painting. This will reveal text and a piece of paper. A list.

The phone will ring. Turn to the right. Below the tapedeck is a blue phone. Pick it up. Listen to the voice. When the voice stops try to concentrate!
