You have no job, no money and no house.
Chapter 1: Kristy.
Pick up your GUITAR and walk to the right to use the telephone box. Use the box and look at the post-it memo at the upper left. The grocery needs a clerk. Leave the box and walk to the right. In front of the hospital walk further to the right and walk further to the right behind the Music Inn. Walk to the right until you reach the grocery store. Go inside and ask Ms. Irving for the job. You can have it and the first task is to collect three bottles. Ask for an orange and you can have that when you return with the bottles.
Leave the store and walk all the way back to the left, past the hospital.There’s a MILK BOTTLE in front of the abandoned shop that you can pick up. There’s one at the window above but you can’t reach it. Walk further to the left and look at your one house. To the right of the parking sign is a loose BEAM. To the right of the sign next to the front door is a CLEANING CLOTH. Take them and walk further to the left.
There’s another MILK BOTTLE on the pavement so pick it up. Take the BRANCH from the tree, just above the grocery truck. Now walk all the way to the right (4 times) until you reach the barber shop. There’s a pair of scissors you can use. When the barber is gone, use the branch on the fan outside to stop it working. Wait for the barber to open the window and then use the beam on the alarm on the left of the front door.
The barber will step outside and this should be your chance to get the SCISSORS. Be quick otherwise you need to try again. Walk to the left (2 times) until you reach the hospital. Walk over to the ambulance and use the trunk to get the GAUZES out. Close the trunk and walk to the left three times.
Use the scissors on the barbed wire and then pick up the piece of BARBED WIRE that’s fallen in the street. In your inventory use the scissors on the wire again to create a lock pick. Use the beam to take the cardboard box from the truck and then pick up the CARDBOARD BOX. Walk to the right and use the pick on the door next to your own house. Enter the house and go upstairs and walk to the right.
Use the gauzes on the drying rack under the right window to create a safety net. Use the beam on the milk bottle to push it into the gauze and then pick up the MILK BOTTLE. Walk to the left and use the front door to leave the house. Walk all the way to the right until you reach the grocery store and go inside. Give the bottles to Ms. Irving and you’ll get your MONEY.Take the ORANGE from the counter on the left and leave the shop. Walk to the left (twice) and use your wallet on the booking clerk of the subway for a TICKET.
Use the subway building to go downstairs and take a MAP from the wall. Use the train to travel to down town. Go up the stairs and enter Roxy’s Music Store. Talk to the shopkeeper to ask for a set of strings for your guitar. Now your guitar is tuned. Leave the shop and use the subway entrance to go below again. Use the guitar on yourself to play a tune and earn a few COINS. Use the train to travel back to the hospital. Go up the stairs and walk all the way to the right to the barber shop.
Enter the barber shop and use the chair to get yourself a shave. Then walk into the laundrette and use the cardboard box on yourself. Put the dirty clothes into the machine and use the coins on the washing machine to wash your clothes. Leave the laundrette and walk to the left twice and use the subway entrance to go downstairs. You’ll earn some MONEY. Walk up the stairs again and walk to the right.
Enter the Music Inn and use the chair to sit at the table. Talk to Dottie about the singer. You can talk to her after the show. Ask to play a few songs and she’ll tell you to contact the boss. She’ll search for the address. Then tell her you have to leave. Wait for the music to end and the curtains to close and then leave the inn. Outside you’ll meet Kirsty. Talk to her and ask her for your band. She’s not interested.
Enter the pub again and use the chair to sit down. Talk to Dottie again and tell her about your conversation with Kirsty. You’ll get a second chance. Ask her if she knows the address already and she’ll tell you she can’t remember. Tell her you must leave and when she walks away, use your wallet on her to give her a tip. Now she remembers the address and tells you the name and the address.
Leave the inn and outside use the beam in your inventory. You’ll get the NAILS out and use the nails in the street. When Kirsty drives off, she’ll puncture her tyre and then she’ll have to take the subway. Use the subway entrance to go down the stairs and use the guitar on yourself to play a tune. Kirsty will walk by and notice you. After the song she’ll want to sing in your band.
Chapter 2: The circle theatre.
Walk to the right into the blind alley and enter the grocery store. Talk to Ms. Irving and ask for another job. You’ll get the keys of the truck. Walk to the left and use the keys on the truck. Then use the arrow icons to drive to the right until you see the map. Drive to the red light district. Drive all the way to the right and park your car at Jean’s. Go inside and talk to Jean. He doesn’t give you the money.
Leave the bar and walk to the left. Climb the stairs to the porch and use the door to go inside. Talk to the secretary and ask for Mr. Black but you can’t talk to him. You must think of something. Leave the office and go down the stairs. Walk to the right and use the truck to drive to the left and on the map select ‘Home’.
Walk all the way to the right and into the alley. Enter the grocery store and talk to Mrs. Irving again. She knows the problem and would like you to help. Leave the shop and walk to the left until you reach your car. Use the car and drive to the right. At the Circle Theatre park your car and use the subway station to go underground. Use the trash can to find a TIN CUP and go up the stairs again.
Use the truck and drive further to the right. On the map select the Red Light District. Park your truck at Jean’s and walk to the trash can in front of the shop. On the outside is a giant cockroach. Use the tin cup to get the COCKROACH and walk to the left. Climb the stairs to reach Mr. Black’s office and use the door to go inside.
Try to take a business card from the desk on the wall and when the secretary is trying to find the right one, put the cockroach on the carpet to scare the secretary. You’re now in the office of Mr. Black. Ask him to play at the Music Inn and he’ll consider it when you bring Matilda to him. He’ll give you a members PASS to get into the Good Times.
Leave the office on the left and go down the stairs. Walk to the Good Times on the left and give the pass to the bouncer. You can now enter the club. Talk to the naked girl at the bar and learn about Matilda. She hasn’t left yet so she should be in her dressing room. Talk to the bartender but he isn’t very helpful.
Leave the club and talk to the bouncer. He’ll tell you where the dressing room is. And looking up there, the window is open also. You should be able to get in there. Walk all the way to the right and enter Jean’s again.Talk to him but he still doesn’t want to pay. Time to teach him a lesson in payback. Leave the shop and use your beam on one of the windows of Jean’s cafe.
The police is called very quickly and you’re taken to the station. You’re released fairly quickly again. Use the subway entrance on the left and have a good look at the adverts on the wall, especially the Flight School. Use the metro to travel back to Down Town. Go up the stairs and take the bus to travel to the Red Light district.
Walk all the way to the right and enter Jean’s again. Talk to the shopkeeper but he still doesn’t want to pay. Leave the shop and before smashing more windows, you should make sure you won’t get arrested again. Walk to the phone pole left of the hooker and use your scissors to cut the telephone line.
Walk back to the shop on the right and use the beam on the window that isn’t smashed yet. Go inside again and talk to Jean. He still is not convinced. Use the beam on one of the lamps in the shop and talk to him again. He’ll give you the CHEQUE.
Leave the shop and use the truck to drive to the left and to Circle Theatre. From there park your car at the Music Inn. Walk to the right into the alley and enter the grocery store. Give the cheque to Mrs. Irving and she’ll give you your reward.
Take the bottle of WINE from the shelf on the left and give the bottle to Mrs Irving to pay for it. Then leave the shop and walk to the left to leave the alley. Use the truck again and drive to the right until you see the map and go to the Red Light District. Park the truck at the Good Times. In your inventory use the cheap wine you just bought with the empty bottle you already had. Then add the orange to the bottle of wine to disguise the taste. Give the drink to the bouncer and it’ll knock him out.
Walk to the right and climb the stairs to Mr. Black’s office. Then use the house roofing on the left of the porch to climb over the railing and onto the roof. Walk to the left and use the beam on the roof to fill the gap and walk further to the left until you reach the window of the dressing room. Use the cardboard box on the roof to climb on and use the window to get inside.
Talk to Matilda and she’ll tell you she’s not feeling well. You need to get her medicine. Use the faucet on the sink to let the water running and use the tin cup to get the WATER. Use the faucet again to stop the water. Look at the coat of Matilda on the hook and find the pocket (just to the right of the dressing table). Inside there’s a bag of COCAINE. Take it and leave through the window.
Use the box to climb down the roof and walk to the porch on the right. Climb over the railing and down the stairs. Walk all the way to the right until you find the drug dealer next to Jean’s. Talk to the man and tell him about the situation. Give him the cocaine and he’ll give you the VIAL AND SYRINGE. Walk back to the left and climb the stairs again. Climb the railing onto the house roofing and walk to the left. Use the box to climb further up and use the window of the dressing room to go inside.
Use the vial and syringe on Matilda and she’ll be able to talk. She’ll tell you her story and you’ll end up in Mr. Black’s office. There you’ll hear about the show in the Music Inn, you’ll tell him about the music hall and about the band members. He agrees you can play at the Music Inn and is willing to pay for it. Now you need to find the band members.
Chapter 3: Jack.
Walk down the stairs and use the truck. Drive to the left to Circle Theatre and further to the left to park your car at the Music Inn. Walk to the blind alley and enter the grocery store. Look at the post-it note on the wall behind her. Another opportunity to earn some money!. Leave the store and walk to the left until you reach the subway entrance.
Go down the stairs and use the train to travel to the police station. Go up the stairs and walk to the right to reach Jack’s motel. Use the door of the motel to go inside and talk to Jack. Ask him to join the band but he doesn’t want to. You need to convince him. Leave the motel and walk to the left. Use the entrance of the subway and use the train to travel back to St. John’s Hospital.
Go up the stairs and walk to the left. In your inventory, use the cleaning cloth with the cup and use the cup on the fire to heat the water. Walk to the hospital entrance on the right and use the hot water on the sticker on the elevator door. Then take the disabled STICKER from the door and walk further to the right.
Use the sticker on your truck and use the truck to drive to the right. Immediately park your car again at the disabled parking. Pick up the tin of PAINT. Use the truck again and drive further to the right until you reach the Red Light District. Park your car in front of Good Times and enter the club.
Use the pillows of the sofa on the left to find a TOKEN. Give the token to the bartender and you’ll receive a cup of COFFEE in return. Take it from the bar and leave the club on the left. Give the coffee to the sleeping bum under Mr. Black’s office and talk to him. Tell him to go to the motel and he’ll leave. Walk further to the right and take the POLE CLIMBING STRAPS from the pole you cut the wires from earlier and walk to the left to return to the car. Use the car and drive home.
Use the straps on the pole in front of your house to climb it and take the CROW’S NEST from the top. Use the pole again to climb down and in your inventory look at the nest to find the WORMS and the RING. Walk to the left and give the ring back to your neighbour to receive the $50 reward. Walk to the right and use the truck. Drive to the right and park at the Circle Theatre.
Use the entrance of the subway to go downstairs and use the train to travel to the police station. Walk up the stairs and walk to the right to reach to motel again. Use the pole straps on the pole under the motel sign and use the white paint on the NO letters to change the vacancy sign. Use the pole to climb down and enter the motel. Jack’s very busy. Put the worms in the chicken roast to sabotage the dinner. You can talk to Jack to explain but best is to just leave the motel and see what’s happening. Then go inside again and talk to Jack again. He’ll join your band and wants you to ask Bob to be the guitar player.
Chapter 4: Bob
Use the subway entrance and take the train to the harbour. Walk up the stairs and further to the left. Walk past the nets to the right and find a guitar player next to the restaurant. Talk to him and he’ll tell you that Bob is on Blackwell Island. You need to get there.Try the coke dispenser to see it can be opened with a screwdriver.
Walk to the right and north onto the pier. Go left and talk to the fisherman sitting down. Talk to him about getting to the island and he’ll suggest flying. Talk about the fishing and he’ll tell you that he lost his fly to fish big fishes. Walk to the right twice and take a FISHNET from the huge pile, then walk to the left. Go north to return to the subway entrance. Next to the entrance is a stack of cages. Take one LOBSTER CAGE and enter the subway. Take the train to the hospital.
Use the lock pick on the call button of the elevator to sabotage it. The use the stairs to leave the underground. Walk to the left twice to return to your house and see the crow on top of your house. Use the guitar on your house to play a tune inside and the crow will be attracted to the music. As soon as it’s on the ground, use the fish net to catch the crow and pick up the CROW and net. In your inventory put the crow inside the lobster cage and use the pick lock to take the FLY from the wings of the crow.
Walk to the right and use the phone. Call LINDBERGH SCHOOL to enquire about flying lessons. You can start in an hour. Walk to the right twice and enter the stage door of the Music Inn to play your concert. After that, use the cabinet on the right to take the REMOTE CONTROL out. Leave the stage on the left and walk further to the left and use the subway.
The elevator is now being repaired and next to the elevator is a technician sleeping. As soon as a train passes, use his pockets to get a SCREWDRIVER out. Use the train and go the theatre.Upstairs take your truck and drive to the right to see the map. At the lower right is the airport so go there. Use the main entrance to go inside and talk to the flight instructor.

Walk to the left twice, then onto the pier. Left again to return to the fisherman. Give him the fly and he’ll give you a MEMBERSHIP CARD of the fishing club and the KEY to the warehouse.Walk to the right twice to get to the restaurant and use the screwdriver on the coke dispenser and open the dispenser to get a COKE out. Walk to the right, then to the left, then north and use the key on the door of the warehouse to notice the lock is rusty. Use the coke on the lock to remove the rust and try the key again. Inside the warehouse you’ll only find junk but also a SHIP ALARM.
Use the subway entrance and take the train to the theatre. Take your truck, drive to the right and to the red light district. Park your car in front of Good Times. Walk to the right of the buildings and use the pole straps on the pole on the right to climb on the roof of Mr. Black’s building. Use the window to get into his office.
Use the cabinet on the back wall and open the fourth drawer to find an envelope with a padlock KEY inside. Take the MAGNIFYING GLASS from the desk and then leave again through the window. Use the pole to climb down and take the truck back to the left and to the theatre. Enter the music shop and buy the MUTE. Leave the shop and use the subway entrance to take the train to the police station.
In the subway you’ll find an old lady. Talk to her and help her. Give her your city map and when she can’t read it, give her the magnifying glass as well. In return you’ll get a pack of FRUIT GUMS. Use the stairs and walk to the right to reach the motel. Use your scissors on the PETROL HOSE of the pump to take it with you. Walk back to the left and enter the subway again. Take the train to the hospital.
Get another TOWN MAP from the wall and use the stairs to leave the station. Walk to the left twice and check your mailbox. There’s an ENVELOPE inside. Use the envelope in your inventory to find the CHEQUE from Mr. Black for playing at the Music Inn. Look at the envelope to see that it wasn’t sent from Burma Shave.
Walk to the right three times and enter the blind alley. Walk to the grocery store on the far right and find the boy with the cart. Give him the fruit gums and in return you’ll get the CART. Walk to the left twice and enter the subway. Take the train to the harbour. Climb the stairs to leave and walk to the left.
Walk further to the left and standing in front of the pier, use the pair of scissors on the remote to get the BATTERIES out. Put the batteries in the ships alarm to charge it and use the ships alarm on yourself to alert the guard. He’ll leave his post and you can get to work. Use the fuel hose from your inventory on the nozzle on the right. Use the fishnet on the nozzle to tie it secure. Use the key you found in Mr. Blacks office on the knob to unlock it and the barrel is being filled with fuel.
Use the cart on the barrel you just filled with the to move it around and then pick up the FUEL. Walk to the left to leave the station. Go north to return to the subway entrance and in your inventory use the mute with the ships alarm and use the combination on yourself to wake up the clerk. He’ll leave straight away and you can use the door of the office to go inside. Take the KEY from the hook and use the door again to leave. Use the subway entrance to go underground and travel to the theatre. Use the stairs to leave the station and drive your truck to the right to see the map. Drive further to the airport on the lower right.
Enter the airport and use the fuel on the plane to fill her up. Then use the plane to get inside. The pilot told you what to do. Release the brakes so pull lever B. Check the control so pull lever C. Change the gear so pull lever G. Start the engine with the E-button next to the red button. Once heated up, use the control wheel to pull it and take off. When the plane has gained some speed, use the control wheel again to get into the air.

In your inventory use the white paint on the membership card to adjust some text and then give the card to the lighthouse keeper. He’s a member too and wants to help you now.
Give him your wallet to ‘rent’ his boat and now you can use the boat to return to the harbour on the right. Use the key you got from the clerk’s office on the door of the restaurant to go inside. Talk to the bartender and ask for the guitar player. He’ll be there any minute but you can’t wait so talk to the violin player. No luck either. Use the door to leave again.
Walk to the right, then left and north to enter the subway. Use the train to travel to the hospital. Use the stairs to go to street level and walk to the right. Then right again into the dead alley. All the way to the right to the grocery store and go inside. Give your cheque to Mrs. Irving and she’ll give you the MONEY. Leave the shop and walk to the left. Enter the subway and return to the harbour.
Go up the stairs and walk to the left, then to the right and use the key to enter the restaurant. The guitar player is here so talk to him. It’s Bob! He’ll play on an electric guitar if you buy him one. You need to get some money: $150.
Chapter 5: The concert
Enter the theatre and try to pass the clerk. He wants a ticket or a musicians pass. You don’t have any. Talk to the man again and ask for a telephone. Time to get in touch with Mr. Black. Use the telephone and call mr. black. There’s no answer from his office. Use the phone again and call good times. They don’t know his whereabouts either. Now remember the envelope from your cheque? It wasn’t sent from Burma Shave. In your inventory use the magnifying glass on the envelope to read the stamp and learn Mr. Black’s location. Call good times again and tell the lady about Omaha.
You’ll get the name of the other business Mr. Black runs in Omaha. Use the phone and call wet nights. After speaking to Mr. Black, you’ll have to find Matilda in the diner. Talk to the clerk and ask about Phillies. He’s never heard of it. Leave the theatre on the left and enter the music shop. Talk to the shop keeper and ask about the diner. He’ll give you directions.
Leave the shop and walk to the right to reach the diner. Use the door to enter and talk to Matilda at the bar. She’ll give you the MUSICIANS PASS and the MONEY for the guitar. Leave the diner and walk to the left. Enter the music shop again and buy the electric GUITAR.
Leave the shop and enter the theatre. Give the pass to the clerk and you can enter the stage. Walk to the right and give the guitar to Bob. You can now have a great concert.
