Mysterious Adventure #10 – Ten Little Indians – Atari800 Version – Walkthrough (Channel 8 Software/1983)

Ten Little Indians Walkthrough Warning! This page contains the complete solution or walk-through to this game. Reading this page can spoil the challenge to complete the game by yourself. Please consider this when reading on. The walk-through of this game given here might not be the optimal solution, it’s a solution. Just to prove that the game can be finished. You’re on a train. You’re in a leather seat and can look out the window.

WAIT until the train comes to a halt. You can get out at this station (Lower Massington when you read the sign) but there’s not a lot to do here. So you best stay on the train and WAIT until the train has started and stopped at the next station.

GO EAST to leave the train and it’ll immediately drives off. No going back then. READ SIGN to see that this is Upper Massington. GO DOWN the platform onto the tracks and find a spanner. TAKE SPANNER and quickly GO UP before you get hit by a train. GO EAST into a waiting room. There’s a table and when you LOOK TABLE you’ll find matches on them. TAKE MATCHES and GO NORTH onto a country road. This can get tricky but if you get lost on the country road, alternate north and east until you can see the station again. From there it shouldn’t be too much of  a problem.

GO NORTH again. Since you can only carry so much, DROP MATCHES. Then GO EAST. You can see the train station again from here. GO EAST to find mud. LOOK MUD to see a brass key. TAKE BRASS. Now GO WEST to the old wharf. GO SOUTH to find a derelict warehouse with rotting crates in front. LOOK CRATES to see a candle. TAKE CANDLE and then LOOK CRATES again. This time you see a coil of rope. TAKE ROPE and return to the wharf with GO NORTH.

STAMP FOOT and you’ll fall through the wharf into the river so you’d better SWIM. In the water you can DIVE to see a violet figurine which you can get with TAKE VIOLET. You’ll end up on the river bed. SWIM again back to the mud and GO NORTH to the spot where you can see the station.

GO WEST and GO NORTH to be reunited with your matches. Your hands are full now and you need the matches so DROP VIOLET and TAKE MATCHES. From here GO WEST and GO WEST again to a gatehouse. GO GATE to enter the house and GO UP into the tower. LOOK WINDOW to see a bar jutting out. TIE ROPE and CLIMB ROPE to reach a gravel drive.

GO WEST to the mansion and find yourself in front of an oak door that’s locked. But since you’ve got a key you can OPEN DOOR. You don’t need the key anymore so DROP BRASS and GO DOOR inside. Here you’ll find stairs and a suit of armor. LOOK SUIT to realize the arm is pointing a bit awkward so PULL ARM. When you LOOK SUIT again you see it’s bolted together but you’ve got the tool for that.

UNBOLT SUIT will result in a heap of metal and a grey figurine. TAKE GREY and since the suit is demolished, DROP SPANNER. From here GO SOUTH into the lounge and GO EAST into the conservatory. LOOK PLANTS to see a green figurine hidden. TAKE GREEN and GO SOUTH to get into a potting shed. On the floor is a hammer. TAKE HAMMER and get out of the shed with GO NORTH. From here GO WEST and GO NORTH to the hallway. You don’t need it yet so DROP HAMMER and GO SOUTH back to the lounge.

GO SOUTH into the study with a large safe. GO WEST into the library where there’s an ebony stand. GO NORTH onto the stand and DROP GREY and DROP GREEN. Leave the stand with GO SOUTH and leave the library with GO EAST. In the study GO NORTH and in the lounge. GO NORTH again into the hallway and GO STAIRS to climb them.

On the stairs you can GO UP and in the upper hallway GO NORTH into the green bedroom. When you GO EAST you get into the bathroom where there’s a dark opening. GO OPENING to find it’s too dark to see so LIGHT CANDLE and you see that you’re on the back stairs.

GO DOWN into the butler’s pantry and see a trowel. TAKE TROWEL and GO SOUTH. You’re in a storage room now. There’s a silver figurine so TAKE SILVER. Return GO EAST and GO UP the stairs again. GO UP once more to reach the green bathroom and UNLIGHT CANDLE since you don’t need it right now.

GO WEST into the green bedroom and GO SOUTH into the upper hallway. Now GO EAST into the blue bedroom and GO EAST again into the blue bathroom. There’s another figurine here so TAKE BLUE. Return GO WEST into the bedroom and GO WEST again back into the hallway. GO WEST once more into the master bedroom. When you LOOK BED you notice a slip of paper so TAKE PAPER and READ PAPER. Bleh, nothing but an ad… or is it?

With the information in mind you can DROP PAPER and GO EAST into the hallway. GO DOWN on the stairs and GO DOWN again to the lower hallway. Time to drop off some more loot. GO SOUTH into the lounge and GO SOUTH again into the study. Now GO WEST into the library and GO NORTH onto the stand.

DROP BLUE and DROP SILVER onto the stand and GO SOUTH to leave it. Let’s get some more! GO EAST into the study, GO NORTH into the lounge and GO NORTH again into the hallway. GO EAST to leave the mansion and GO EAST again onto the drive where you can see the rope dangling.

CLIMB ROPE into the gate tower and GO DOWN the stairs back to the gate house. GO EAST onto the country road and GO NORTH. From here GO EAST (your violet figurine should be still here) and GO EAST again to the spot where you can see the station and GO EAST once more to the mud.

USE TROWEL to dig up a black figurine and TAKE BLACK. Now quickly GO NORTH before you sink into the mud. You don’t need the trowel anymore so DROP TROWEL. Since you can see the station, we might as well go there so GO STATION.

From the waiting room GO SOUTH to the ticket office where you can see a safe. LOOK SAFE to discover the dial type lock. But what to dial? You haven’t seen any codes in the game… or have you? The advertisement in the bedroom said it clearly: It’s 1983. So DIAL 1983 and the safe will pop open. When you LOOK SAFE again, it will reveal a yellow figurine. TAKE YELLOW and GO NORTH to the waiting room.

GO NORTH onto the country path and GO NORTH again to the figurine left behind. TAKE VIOLET and time to bring the statues to one place. GO WEST onto the country path and GO WEST again to the gatehouse. GO GATE into the gate house and GO UP into the gate tower. CLIMB ROPE out of the window and onto the gravel drive and GO WEST to the mansion.

GO DOOR to enter the house and GO SOUTH into the lounge. GO SOUTH into the study and GO WEST into the library to the stand. GO NORTH to reach the stand and DROP VIOLET, then DROP YELLOW and DROP BLACK. How many more to go?

GO SOUTH to leave the stand and GO EAST into the study. Then GO NORTH into the lounge and GO NORTH again into the hallway. GO STAIRS to climb them and GO UP to reach the top floor. GO EAST into the blue bedroom and GO WINDOW to reach the stone balcony. From here you can GO DOWN into a walled garden. There’s a dry fountain. CLIMB FOUNTAIN to find a pink figurine. TAKE PINK and GO DOWN from the fountain.

In the garden GO EAST to a greenhouse and find a chisel. TAKE CHISEL and return with GO WEST. From here GO UP back onto the balcony and CLIMB BALUSTRADE. When you JUMP you will just make it onto a roof. On the roof GO EAST to a chimney stack and GO SOUTH into a ruined arbor. Another figurine so TAKE WHITE.

GO SOUTH back to the roof and when you JUMP again you’ll land into a soft flowerbed. GO NORTH onto the lawn and GO WEST onto a circular path. From here GO WEST onto the gravel drive and GO WEST again to the front door of the mansion. GO DOOR to go inside.

DROP PINK for the moment and TAKE HAMMER. From here GO WEST into the dining room and GO SOUTH into the kitchen. See that lovely tiled floor? BREAK TILES to create a hole in the floor. With the hole created, DROP HAMMER and DROP CHISEL.  It’s dark in the hole but when you LIGHT CANDLE and GO HOLE you can reach the boiler room with another figurine. TAKE RED and GO UP to leave the hole. UNLIGHT CANDLE and since you don’t need it anymore, DROP CANDLE and DROP MATCHES.

GO NORTH to leave the kitchen and GO EAST to return to the hallway. You left a figurine here so TAKE PINK and GO SOUTH into the lounge. GO SOUTH again into the study and GO WEST into the library. GO NORTH onto the stand and DROP PINK, followed by DROP WHITE and DROP RED. That’s it! You notice something happened.

GO SOUTH to leave the stand and GO EAST into the study. You notice that the safe is now open. LOOK SAFE to find  glowing golden figurine. TAKE GOLDEN to retrieve the ultimate prize.
