Melrin 2: The Pendant Quest Walkthrough Warning! This page contains the complete solution or walk-through to this game. Reading this page can spoil the challenge to complete the game by yourself. Please consider this when reading on. The walk-through of this game given here might not be the optimal solution, it’s a solution. Just to prove that the game can be finished. With intro:

You’re out of bread, so you leave the house. Walk to the south, then to the right to town. Talk to the guard and you’ll learn why you can’t go to the city. The pendant has been stolen. Walk  to the left and go north, back home. There, your teacher will give you an assignment.

Without intro:

Take your SPELLBOOK from the table and take the METALLIC BOWL from the chair. Then leave the house. Walk to the south twice, then to the right. There’s the Fairy of the Heart. She’ll tell you about the three possible places the pendant can be. You need to get a lift from one of the boats in the harbor. Walk back to the left and pick up a BLUE FLOWER. Go north, then to the right.

Below the gates to town is a tree. Use the tree to take a BRANCH off. Walk further to the right and check the barrels. In the lower right one you can find some SALT. Walk right again and talk to the captain. You can come if you pay your fare. Go right again and talk to the little girl. She’s lost her dog. So you need to help her of course.

Next to the ship is a ROPE. Take it. Walk left and south and enter the bar. Take the CABBAGE from the stool and try to take the mustard. You can only have it if you order a drink. Use the blue flower in the mustard to get a YELLOW FLOWER. Leave the bar and enter again. Now there’s a candle on the barrel in the lower left corner. Try to take it and the barman will stop you. But at least you got some WAX from it.

Leave the bar, go  north and left three times. Then south and left again. There’s a crab wandering around. In your inventory use the wax with the metallic bowl and use the salt with the bowl. Use the yellow flower with the bowl and then use the bowl to create the ANIMAL TRANSFORMATION SPELL. Use the spell on the crab and there’s the dog. It’ll follow you.

Walk to the right, north and right four times to bring the dog to it’s owner. As a reward you get some COINS. Walk to the left and give the coins to the captain. Climb on the ship and then it’s time to sail to the Island of Portals.

Walk to the south to find the portals. Use the portal on the right.  You’ll reach a door which is locked. Use the portal to return and walk to the north. The Fairy will help you by giving a HAIRPIN. Walk south again and use the portal on the right again.

Use the hairpin on the door and walk into the garden. In the trunk is an EGG. Pick it up. Leave the garden through the door and return to the garden again. The nest is now gone but when you use the trunk you will find a HAMMER inside. Leave the garden again and use the portal to return to the Island of Portals.

Use the portal in the middle, take a ROCK and use the portal again to leave. Use the portal on the left and walk to the right to find someone locked in a cage. She’s been locked in there for five years. Time for some help. In your inventory use the egg with the bowl and use the rock with the bowl. Then use the bowl and create the METAL TO ICE SPELL. Use the spell on the cage and use the hammer on the cage to break the ice. The girl is free. Follow her to the right to find an easter egg.

She gives you a FEATHER and leaves. Pick up the ICE and walk into the cell. In the corner you can fine some WINE and a piece of BREAD. Take them and leave the cell again. Walk to the left and use the portal. On the Island of Portals use the portal in the middle.

Walk to the right and go north. In the upper left corner is a pool of OIL. Take some and walk south again. Walk to the right and find the troll in armor.  It would help if you were invisible to get past him but then you need a lemon to make the spell visible. And you haven’t seen any lemon trees around here. But you can make one! In your inventory use the rope with the bowl and use the wine with the bowl. Use the bowl and create the WOOD TO FRUIT SPELL. Use the spell on the branch in your inventory and you have a LEMON. Use the lemon on the book in your inventory and you can read the spell. So to get invisible, use the bread, the oil and the ice with the bowl and then use the bowl to create the INVISIBILITY SPELL. Use the spell on yourself and walk past the troll to the north.

Walk into the castle and read the sign on the wall. Use the hammer on the wooden boards to open the door and walk through. Next to the door that follows is a panel with eight images and four lights. You need to get the correct images to open the door. What did the sign on the previous wall say?

First comes the light of the night (moon), after which you shoud prepare for a fight (shield and sword). A new star (star) will rise and the table (table) will be turned.

So push the moon, shield and sword, star and finally table to open the panel and find a CROWN behind it. Walk through the door to find the pendant. But it’s way out of reach. Time for another spell.

In youe inventory to create a royal head, use the crown with the cabbage and put that in the bowl. Use the feather with the bowl and add the lemon peel to the bowl. Use the bowl to create the JEWELRY RETRIEVER SPELL. Use the spell on the jewel on the ceiling and you have the PENDANT. Walk to the south four times and then left past the troll since you’re still invisible. Walk left once again and use the portal to return home. You saved the kingdom once again.
