How They Found Silence Walkthrough Warning! This page contains the complete solution or walk-through to this game. Reading this page can spoil the challenge to complete the game by yourself. Please consider this when reading on. The walk-through of this game given here might not be the optimal solution, it’s a solution. Just to prove that the game can be finished. Day 1:

After your arrival on the beach, walk to the left. The butler, Ivory,  will take you to Lord Fern. He’ll tell you about your quest: find the Sea Stone. Talk to him some more to learn about him and the stone. After the conversation walk use the door to leave the library and climb the stairs on the left. Use the door on the right to enter your own room.

Use the suitcase to get the SHOVEL and the CHISEL out. Use the door again and walk to the south opposite the mirror. Talk to Lily and learn about the doll and Malacastor. Leave the room again, walk to the right and use the doors to go outside. Walk to the right to find Kara. Talk to her and she’ll tell about Lily and Lord Fern. Go left and try to go left again to find the front gate locked. Use the front door to enter the house again and the servant will give you the KEY to the front gate. Then dinner is served.

Day 2:

Use the door to leave the room and walk to the right. Use the door next to the clock to enter the library and talk to Lord Fern again. He’ll tell you about the books. Use the black books with the green signs on the back in the center of the bookcase to learn more about the Sea Stone and the Sea People. Talk to Lord Fern again and ask again about the Sea People and stone.

Leave the library and use the door on the left to leave the mansion. Walk to the left to go outside the gate and walk to the right twice to reach the lighthouse. Use the chisel on the boards to remove them and use the shovel on the door to open it. Then enter the lighthouse. Climb the ladder and take the LANTERN from the floor upstairs. Use the ladder again to go downstairs. Use the door and leave the lighthouse. Walk to the left twice and use the gate. Use the front door to enter the mansion and walk up the stairs on the left.Use the first door on the right to go inside your bedroom and get some rest.

Day 3:

Use the door to leave the bedroom. Walk to the right and you’ll bump into Lord Fern. Take the MATCHBOX from the table and use the front door to leave the house. Walk to the left to go outside the gate. Walk left again twice and you’ll see the lighthouse on the cliff. Under it is a cave. Look at the cave and then go to the cave. Outside the cave you’ll find a text on the wall.

Use the matches with the lantern and enter the cave. There’s a door with a padlock on it. You can’t open it. Walk to the left three times and to the right three times to reach the lighthouse. Enter the lighthouse and climb the ladder. Here you’ll meet Angela. Talk to her to find out she’s a ghost and living at the lighthouse. Ask her about the locked door in the cave and she’ll tell you about the flowers with the black hearts.

Use the ladder to go downstairs and the door to leave the lighthouse. Walk to the left and the second group of flowers from the right have black hearts. Use the shovel on them and you’ll find a CHEST. Use the chisel on the chest to find a KEY inside. Walk to the left twice and Ivory will be there to warn you.

Walk to the left, then to the right to the cave and enter the cave. Use the gold key on the padlock to unlock the door and use the door to go inside. There’s a pool of water. Go inside the pool and try to swim down until your lungs can’t take no more. You’ll return to the side of the pool. Walk to the left to leave the cave and walk left three more times, then once to the right to reach the gate of the Fern estate. Angela will be here. While talking to Angela another creature will appear and Angela will tell you to go inside.

Day 4:

Angela will ask you to leave but you can’t. Use the door to leave your bedroom and walk south opposite the mirror into Lily’s room. She’s not there but the wardrobe is open and you can find a RING inside. Leave the room and use the door on the far left to talk to Lord Fern. He’ll tell you to go and find the Stone.

Use the front doors to leave the house and walk to the right. Lili is playing at the pond. Give the ring to Lily and she’ll tell you about Malacastor. So he wasn’t in the wardrobe. She’ll take the ring. Walk to the left twice to go through the gate and walk to the left twice to find Ivory at the beach with a ship wreck. It’s the Queen Charlotte.

Walk to the left to leave the beach and walk to the right three times. Enter the lighthouse and you’ll see Angela again. But she’s more solid now. She’ll try to help you if you’ll come to the cliff tonight.

Nightfall:

Use the door to leave the bedroom and walk to the right. Use the front door and you’ll meet Ivory outside. He’ll warn you again. Walk to the left and outside the gate walk to the right three times to reach the cliff. Okotoko is here and you should ask him all about the people, Angela and the Stone. But then Okotoko will push you. When Angela tries to help you, grab her, but you’ll fall anyway.

You’ll witness the murder of Lord Fern and you’ll wake up on the beach.

Day 5:

Kara will find you on the beach and tell you her history. Learn more about her,Agawaro, the Sea People and Malacastor. You’ll find out about the magic and the spell. You’ll tell her about the stone and she can help you. You have to find Agawaro. Walk to the left, then right to reach the gate. Walk to the right twice and enter the lighthouse. Use the ladder to climb upstairs and talk to Angela.

Angela will tell you Agawaro is dead so he can’t help you. Then there’s a last chance. Kara must turn back into one of the Sea People. Lord Fern can help you with that. Use the ladder to climb down and leave the lighthouse. Walk to the left twice and use the gate. Then use the front door of the mansion to enter and walk up the stairs on the left.

Use the door on the far left to call Lord Fern and when he doesn’t answer, you’ll enter the room. He’s dead, lying on the floor. Use the top drawer on the right side of the desk to find a note with a strange combination: A-5-U-3-IV. Leave the room and walk to the right. Use the door next to the clock to enter the library and

Pull the book with the A on the bottom shelf, the green book with the 5 on the second shelf from the top, the blue book with the U on it on the same shelf on the right, the green book with the 3 on it on the same shelf again and the book one shelf below it on the far left with the roman 4 on it. A secret door will now open. Enter the lab of Lord Fern.

To the right of the human skull is a big black book. Use the book to find the recipe. You need to find the ingredients in the same cupboard: 12 drops of salamander blood, 1 dragon eye, kalamancus powder, unicorn’s heart, stir all with a taphar stick. When administering the potion,  a spell should be spoken by someone with magical blood. Talk to  Kara and ask her about the kalamancus. She’ll tell you it should be green. Use the note on the left of the skull to find that the unicorn’s heart has been swapped with the golden frog. So you should look for that bottle.

The ingredients: the vial with red from the bottom shelf, the red eyeball on the far right on the second shelf, the green powder from the left of the bottom shelf, the gold powder between the red and blue bottles on the fourth shelf from the top and the sticks from the left of the fifth shelf from the top. Kara will drink it but nothing will happen. You need someone with magic blood: Lily.

Walk to the left and bump into Okotoko. He’s trying to kill you but you can talk your way out of it:

-Why do you want to kill me?
-No, I’m trying to find the stone.
-To change Kara back into one of you.

Use the door to leave the library and use the front door to leave the mansion. Walk to the left and at the gate walk to the right three times to find Lily at the cliff. Kara will talk to Lily and she’ll say the magic words. Kara will turn into Karasolo again and find the Sea Stone.
